Christopher and I rode our stallions away from the castle, wanting some father and son bonding. I glanced over at my son, and watched proudly as he rode his stallion with an air of superiority. The apple didn't fall far from the tree, I thought with a smile.

We rode for a full hour racing each other as we chased the wind. I haven't had this much fun since I was a young lad. We reached the unspoilt stretches of sand by the coastline and decided to stop for a rest. Jumping off the horses, we walked together close to the water, wetting our feet and loving the feel of the warm water washing over us.

"My son, have I told you how proud I am of you?" I asked him.

"You have not father, but I can read your mind and heart and know your feelings for me." he said, smiling a smile that melted my heart with joy.

"What are your plans Christopher? What are the councils expectations of you?" I asked, not sure I understood what the Council really was.

"My duties are many, as savior of the world, I have the weight of the world on my shoulders, and thats no easy task father." He said letting out a long sigh.

"I know son, nothing is easy when you are a warrior." I told him, as I splashed the water around my feet.

"Tell me father, do you think the apocalypse will come soon?"my son asked with a hint of worry in his voice.

"Yes son, the veil is thinning at an alarming rate. The walls will crash very soon." I told him, studing his face for signs of fear.

"What exactly do you think will happen when the time comes?" he asked.

"Well, it is foretold, in the eleventh chapter of the books "Secrets of the Universe" of a symbolic event that will bring forth destruction and eternal suffering to those who are against the common good of the human race. Didn't the Twelve Council explain to you what is to come?" I asked him, disturbed that the Council withheld such infromation from my son.
