Months had past now ever since Merlin confessed his love to me. I still get the jitters when I think of him. Our get togethers usually consisted of kissing, talking, and more kissing. I was so in love with him and he felt the same way as I did. Maybe even more?

It was the morning and I was now in my bedroom, brushing my long brown hair. I was sitting in front of my mirror when a note slipped under my door.

I glanced over and smiled of what it could be. It was probably Merlin who just wanted something from me.

I picked it up and bit my lip, excited to reveal what it was. I opened it and it said in someone's handwriting, "CHARLEE, MEET ME AT THE LAKE AT DAWN -MERLIN"

I grinned and squealed a bit. What has gotten over me? I placed the note on my dresser and went through my closet, unsure what to wear to this little "date" Merlin wanted to do. I rummaged through my things as a particular dress popped up. I smirked, thinking of what Merlin would think if he saw me in this.

At dawn

My royal blue gown swept across the dirt path as I walked towards the lake, where Merlin told me to go. I knew exactly where this specific lake. Deep in the forest, there was a clearing and a field in the middle of the forest. Merlin spoke often of it.

A cold wind brushed my cheeks as I reached the lake, revealing a red blanket, plates full of fruit and meat, wine, and my grinning man, Merlin on the green ground. He stood up and offered me his hand as I gasped at this surprise.

"Merlin! What is this?" I asked as I took his hand. He chuckled and lead me towards the blanket. 

"I just wanted to show how special you mean to me," Merlin replied as we both sat down. 

I gazed out onto the clear blue lake. It was absolutely breathtaking. The sun was hiding behind the field a bit, a few wildflowers were here and there while a perfect small brezze was blowing through. 

Merlin offered me a glass of red wine and he said, "Let's make a toast."

"A toast to what?"

"A toast to this day and everlasting love for each other."

I smiled at his toast and repeated, "To this day and everlasting love."

He repeated it, not taking his eyes off me and both took a sip of wine. After that, we chatted and started eating our delicious food. Chicken, rolls, fruits, there was so much!

After feeling stuffed, I lied down on my back while Merlin sorta lied on the outside of me. He leaned on his elbow and stroked my hair.

He soon leaned down and kissed me. His hand reached my cheek and caressed it. My hands were drawn around his neck and I pulled him deeper into the kiss. Things started getting serioius until he broke it saying, "Charlee, I need to tell you something."

Being confused, he pulled me up into standing position. 

"C'mon lets go to the lake," he said. 

We started walking towards it, hand in hand, and when we reached the edge, we stood in front of each other. 

"Charlee, I know things have been getting serious between you and I," Merlin said. I started getting worried.

"And I know we've gone through so much and having you has been one of the greatest aspects of my life that has ever happened," he continued. 

"Merlin, what's going on?"

All of a sudden, he bent down on one knee and said, "And I want to continue that."

I gasped as all of a sudden, his eyes flashed and out of his hand came a golden braclet with tiny diamonds in the band. (A/N Back then, golden bracelets were your modern day wedding rings)

"Merlin-"

"Charlee, will you be by my side forever til death parts, as my wife?"

I was speechless. I had no clue what to say. Half of me wanted me to accept it, but then the other half wanted to burst out saying that he had magic. 

"I don't know what to say first!" I chuckled. 

Merlin laughed and after I took a deep breath. 

"Yes, yes Merlin, I would love to have the honor of being your wife," I replied with an innocent smile. 

He laughed joyfully as he placed the bracelet, fitting perfectly, on my wrist. I burst a laugh as I looked at it. I felt as though it was just only the world and us. And everything was evolving around us too. 

Merlin stood and for a while, we stared at each other. Amazed that he was mine. And I was his. 

Then, before I knew it, we were in each other's arms. Kissing. Almost as if this whole thing was a dream, and we never ever wanted it to end.
