Since I wanted an older version of Albus, I chose Logan Lerman as him. I tried to find an older picture of the actor who played Albus, but he just looked too young. Thanks and hope you enjoy it!

Year One

"Riley Greene!" yelled the professor.

My eyes quickly looked towards the professor and my stomach flipped suddenly. I swallowed and walked to the chair where the hat was to choose where I was to be for the rest of my school years in Hogwarts.

Sitting in a chair, my eyes looked around the crowd of kids my age. One in particular gave me a smile. He had brown hair and brilliant blue-green eyes with a pale face. The boy looked familiar to me, but I just pushed it away and said in silence as the hat was placed on my head.

The hat talked of my bravery and my intellectual knowledge that I had. And quickly, he pronounced, "Gryffindor!"

My heart leaped for joy as a grin appeared on my face. The Gryffindor table burst with hurrahs! and clapping. Moving down to the table, I took a seat and shook hands with some of the students there.

Moments later, another student was called. "Albus Potter."

A few woo-hoo's were heard as the young boy took his seat, literally shaking in fear. But I gleamed again as the hat proclaimed, "Gryffindor!"

The boy's face lit up and hopped over to take a seat. The Potter boy sat across from me and gave him a small smirk.

"I don't believe we have met," squeaked Albus.

I took my hand out across the table. "Riley Greene."

He took my hand and shook it. "Albus Severus Potter. But you can call me Albus."

Smiling, I felt satisfaction as I had finally made my first new friend at Hogwarts.

Year Five

"Albus, you have to add the dragon's blood first, then the acid," I instructed, pointing to the samples on our counter. Albus and I were potion partners together in Professor Sloughorn's class. Even though he was coming of age, surprisingly he was still teaching. Albus and I were literally inseparable, the best of friends.

"Ok, ok, Riley." He surrendered and picked up the glass of dragon's blood to dump it into the boiling pot.

"You know, you don't need to nag me all the time. I can handle it sometimes," Albus mentioned after pouring the stuff in.

"Yeah, well most of the time, I'm trying to save your butt." I wrote something down and as I came up, I reached for the acid, but accidentally our hands touched as we both tried to reach the acid.

We immediately looked at each other, wide eyed, and instantly took our hands away. I bit my lip and felt stiff for a moment.

"Um...sorry. I didn't..." started off Albus, rubbing his hand on his neck.

"Nah, it's alright." My eyes flickered towards his, but Albus broke the connection.

"So, uh, shall we continue with our potion?" offered Albus, motioning his hand awkwardly to it. I nodded and read the further instructions.

For some odd reason, I felt my chest squeezing including my stomach just thinking about our touch. About Albus. What is this I'm feeling? Do I have something for Albus?

"Riley, are you okay?" he asked, looking at me strangely.

"Yeah, why?"

"You were kinda drifting off and it looked like you were in la-la land." I took a deep breath and shook my head.

"Sorry. Just tired I guess." I continued to read the book and try to not think about Albus.

Days had past now and I realize now that I did have feelings for Albus and they were starting to become a distraction. Though, it was more like he was. There was more glancing, more awkward conversations, and more wanting our relationship to be more. Half of the time I would be studying for school, I would be daydreaming about him!

I knew I couldn't keep this in any longer and I needed to tell him. Soon.

Every Friday, Albus and I hung our around this field with a pond by it, just talking an having fun and I knew that there I was to tell him.

Soon, my day came and my hands starting sweating including my awkwardness around Albus. As we were walking across the field towards the pond, Albus suddenly stopped me.

"Riley, is there something up?"

"What?"

"For the past few days, you've been acting so strange around me and others. Did you drink something or-"

"No, no, no!" I took a deep breath and looked down. This was it. This was my chance.

Looking back at him, his sparkling eyes shown concern and confusion as I spoke, "Albus, I think I may- I have feelings for you."

Albus looked confused. "You do?"

I swallowed. "Yeah. I-I like you, Albus. Do-do you feel the same?"

Biting the inside of his cheek, Albus looked awkwardly away. "Um, Riley, I think it's sweet that you do have feelings for me, but I still think of you as a good friend of mine."

Feeling like my whole world had collapsed, my heart felt heavy and I nodded, soon feeling tears coming.

I bit my lip and looked away for a moment. I don't know why, but now I couldn't stand being by him. He doesn't have any feelings for me. I thought he did.

"Riley?"

"I have to go," I confessed and started walking back.

"Riley! I'm sorry. Please-" Albus touched my arm, but I shrugged it off. My jaw was clenched and anger was all I felt for him. I don't know why I felt so disappointed and angry at him. I mean, he is my friend, but when rejection comes, all you want to do is hurt yourself and him.

Night soon feel upon the sky and now I was back at Hogwarts in my house's common room. Having a stack of picture of me and Albus by my left and cocoa on the other, I watched the fire burn in our fire place. Not being able to sleep is the worst, especially when all you can think about is how stupid you were when telling him your feelings and the man you love.

Glancing at the pile of pictures, I took one up and held it there to look at. Albus and I were standing next to a famous candy shop in London, having our arms wrapped around each other. Smiling, the picture brought me more tears.

"I like that picture of us."

Knowing that voice, I quickly wiped my tears away and looked behind me to see Albus, now looking at the fire. For some odd reason, I became completely speechless as I watched Albus sit by my side and intently look into my eyes.

"But not as much as I like you, Riley." And before I knew it, his lips were on mine.

My mind was telling me to pull away, but I felt so complete and loved by his action. Positioning myself a bit better, I sat on my knees towards him and began having my hand explore his soft brown hair, while his hand rested on my cheek. Our kiss eventually broke, but Albus's hand was still on my cheek.

"Albus-"

"I'm so sorry, Riley. I didn't realize until I was just sleeping that I do too have feelings for you." Albus's hand fell to my hand, holding it. "Will you forgive me?"

Giving him a small smirk, I replied, "Of course."

And with another simple smile and laugh, we kissed again one more time.
