I was hanging up Queen Guinevere's dresses, doing my normal job working at Camelot's castle as the queen's maid. She was not in her bedroom, but having a private meeting with her husband, Arthur. 

I soon heard a knock on the door.

"Come in!" I said, still focused on her dresses. 

The door creaked and I turned my head to see Merlin. 

"Hello Alexis! Busy hanging up the Queen's dresses, I see," he kindly said. He brought in a tray of food for Gwen's lunch.

"Hi Merlin! And yes I am. They're absolutely beauitful," I remarked and gazed at a blue one of hers that was in my hand. 

"That one would be pretty on you," said Merlin as he slowly walked beside me. 

"I guess. But it's not my place to wear any of these things," I told him. I looked up at him to see his stunning blue eyes gleem at me. I quickly looked down and hung that one up.

"Thanks Merlin for bringing up her lunch," I said quietly. 

"You're welcome," replied Merlin and started heading for the door. 

"Oh Alexis?" asked Merlin and quickly turned around right back at me. 

"Yes?"

"Would you, er, like to join me on a picnic this afternoon? I will bring the food and refreshments," he offered and nodded his head towards me in a spunky way.

Joy crept in my body, excited that he had asked me out on a picnic. I bit my lip and smiled.

"Of course! When shall I be down?" I said and clamped my hands together. 

"How does in the forest at dawn sound to you?" 

"Sounds fantastic!" I exclaimed with a grin.

Merlin grinned back and him backing away said, "Ok! Great! I'll-" He bumped into a chair and I chuckled at his action.

"Yeah, I'll see you later," I said. He said goodbye and left me in the room filled with happiness.

Later at dawn

I waited at the trail into the forest for Merlin. I looked down at the blue dress I had just admired not too long ago. Guinevere found out about my little "date" with Merlin and she offered the dress to me. And I must say, I looked wonderful. 

"Alexis!" Merlin called from behind me. 

I turned around to see him carrying countless things like a blanket, food, and other things.

"Merlin! Let me carry something!" I chuckled.

He laughed and accepted. I took the picnic basket and we walked on, chatting here and there. 

We reached a hill on the edge of the forest that over looked some beautiful country side of Camelot.

"Merlin, this is beautiful!" I exclaimed and we set up our dinner. 

The sun was just setting and everything seemed perfect. Merlin and I were having a marvelous time talking about different things. He was sitting beside me when he soon reached for an apple and I noticed a hole in it. With a worm wiggling out! He was just about to put it in his mouth when I used my magic to take it out of his grip.

Yes, I have magic. 

Merlin stopped as he noticed the apple wasn't in his hands. Then, he saw it in the air and I dropped it in mid-air. 

"Alexis-"

"Merlin, I can explain, please."

"Do you have magic?" he asked with a concern look on his face. 

I looked down, ashamed of what I did, and nodded.

"I do," I murmured, feeling really scared of what he might think of me. 

Daylight was falling and he took a wooden pole. Using a spell, he lit the torch on fire and stuck it in the ground, making everything brighter.

"You're not alone," Merlin said and his hand grasped mine. I held firmly onto it, still recovering that he is a socerer like me.

"Don't tell anyone," I said. 

"It's a secret you and I shall keep," he said. Merlin started to lean towards me and we kissed. His hand touched my cheek gently while mine grasped his shirt. I dragged him down towards me more as I lied down. We were still kissing and Merlin was on top of me with his hands on either side of my head.

He broke the kiss with a smile. I giggled a little and he said, "And now we have another secret to keep."

"What secret?"

He simply smiled and said, "Our love for each other."

I smiled sweetly at him and immediatly our lips connected again.
