Speedy's smelled like coffee and deli as I sipped my cup of Joe, waiting for my date to come. I glanced at the clock. It was ten and I was getting nervous that he wouldn't be coming. I stared at the black liquid until I heard a jingle at the door.

I looked up to see Sherlock walking towards me, taking his blue scarf off gracefully.

"Hey," I said as he took his seat.

"Amari," Sherlock nodded towards me. He placed elbows on the table and collided his hands together, while his eyes wondered around me.

"So how are you today, Sherlock?" I asked, sitting a bit straighter.

"I'm fine," he said, still looking at me.

"Are you deducing me?" I asked, leaning towards him a bit.

"Of course. What else would I be doing?"

"You could be having a regular conversation with me like normal people do," I remarked.

His brilliant eyes immediately met mine and he said, "But I'm not normal."

"I know you're not. But you should at least try to," I uttered. I took another sip of coffee as our waitress came.

"Hi what can I get you?" the red head lady asked to Sherlock.

"A cup of tea will be fine thank you," he stated still having his eyes locked on me.

"Is there anything else I can give to you?" the lady flirted to him, inching closer bit by bit.

He finally turned his head away from me and looked at her.

"Look, I'm sorry about your breakup with your boyfriend, who cheated on you by using your sister and your ex is sitting about five tables away from us. So your'e filrting with me because you want to make him jealous and get him back. But, no. He doesn't want you back, because otherwise you wouldn't be doing this whole thing. Second of all, I'm on a date with this lovely lady in front of me. Now, can you please leave?" Sherlock spilled.

The lady looked at him strangely and clenched her jaw. She eventually stood up and walked away, fuming. I was trying to not laugh, but I looked at Sherlock and raised my eye brows.

"Seriously, Sherlock?" I asked.

"What? She was in my bubble."

"You're bubble?"

"Yeah, she popped my bubble."

"You mean your personal pace?"

"You could call it that."

"Sherlock, what are you doing?" I asked, so stressed from not having a good time with him.

"What do mean by that?"

"Are you trying to make this date not work out?"

"What date? Isn't this a sociable breakfast?"

My stomach flipped and I felt hurt by what he said. This wasn't a date?

"Excuse me, but weren't you the one who asked?" I questioned, giving him a confsued look.

"If I remember correctly, you were the one who asked," he replied.

I opened my mouth to say something, but I just felt hurt from his words and soon I stood up, grabbing my purse.

"Well, this was surely an undelightful 'social breakfast' as you say, Sherlock. Thank you," I declared, feeling like throwing up about how I was such a fool to do this with him.

"Amari-"

"Bye, Sherlock," I said and quickly walked away out the cafe. My eyes started to get blurry with tears as I walked down the sidewalks of London. Not looking, I suddenly bumped into someone.

"Sorry," I murmured, but the man wouldn't budge or walk around me. So I strolled behind him, but he grabbed my arm, pulling me into an alley way.

"Get off me!" I cried as he pinned me against a wall.

"Such beauty, but too bad I have to ruin it," he slurred as he flicked a knife.

The man's hand came over my mouth as he brought his knife to my face. I shriecked under his hand, but immediately he was pushed off me. I gasped for breath as I actually saw Sherlock punching him over and over again.

"Sherlock!" I exclaimed.

Soon, police came and everything was a blur. Taking him away, Sherlock surprisingly hugging me, and eventually me sitting down on the sidewalk, shocked by this whole experience.

"Amari?" I heard a voice ask.

I turned to see Sherlock, stnading behind me.

"Oh hey," I said and soon stood up next to him.

"Sherlock-"

"Amari, I'm sorry."

"What?"

"I'm sorry for the way I acted towards you this morning and I shouldn't  have left your side. It's just that..."

"It's just what?"

"It's just that I've never been on a date before and I don't really know what to do, Amari."

I blushed and smiled at him.

"Well, shall we try again?" I asked as I placed my hand out to him.

He looked at it and smirked. "Of course," he replied.

Sherlock took it as we walked towards Speedy's.

"Oh and Sherlock?" I remarked stopping him.

"What?"

I went on my tippy-toes and gave him a kiss on the lips, which he kissed back. Butterflies filled my tummy as he touched my cheek.

We parted as he asked, "What was that for?"

"For saving me," I said with a smile.

He smiled back and we walked to Speedy's, trying our date once more.
