Gwaine's POV

My stomach and heart felt heavy as I still laid next to my beautiful Kumi. Her eyes were closed and her breaths were final. I knew she will never open those stunning eyes again.

I stroked her tan face as tears slowly ran down my cheeks. I smiled as I remembered the fun we had together. I wish I had told her sooner though that I loved her. We could of shared so many more loving memories together, knowing we were lovers.

I quietly sat up and exited the bed as I heard a knock on the door.

"Come in," I said weakly, feeling no life in me since she was gone.

A perky face came in, who was Merlin. He gave me a sad smile and carried a tray of food for me to eat. But I wasn't hungry. Food seemed horrible to my stomach now.

"Merlin, you can take that away. I'm not hungry," I said and turned to look at Kumi again.

"Gwaine, you have to eat. It's been hours," replied Merlin.

"I...I can't. I feel like everything is worthless now that she is gone."

"Gwaine," Merlin said and came by my side. His hand was on my shoulder.

"Treasure the moments you had with Kumi. Remember the days you had with her and know that if she heard you now, she'd probably would not like that. She would of wanted for you to continue on in your life," Merlin comforted.

I took a deep breath and gave one last look of Kumi before she was taken away to have a proper burial.

I walked over to her and kissed her cold forehead.

"Farewell, my angel," I whispered and heavy-heartedly strolled out of the room.

A few hours later

I sat on my bed and figured the ring of Kumi's on my chain. I slipped it off her finger and put it on, so I could always have her with me. My armour was on for we were to have her funeral. I looked out my window and saw that is was raining. Just how my soul feels like.

I heard a knock on my door, and I answered for the person to come in. A servant entered and reported that we were ready. I nodded and stood up. I took a deep breath and exited out of the room. My horse was ready as I rode with Arthur's knights. Rain hit our heads and made us all wet. I looked behind me and noticed the adored wagon with Kumi's body on it. My eyes were glassy as I looked at her.

"Gwaine?" I heard Arthur say.

"Yes, siry?"

"I'm sorry about your lost. I know she meant everything to you," Arthur remarked.

I nodded and thanked him. We soon reached the ocean and stopped. Everyone placed the funeral and took their stand. Arthur gave me the honor to carry my beloved Kumi to the board, where she be sent out. I carefully carried her bridal style to the board. I observed her beauitful face one last time. The rain softly beat on her tan, elegant face.

I felt breathing on my neck. I gave her a questioning look, but I just ignored it and thought it was only my imagination. I gently placed her and felt a tear go down my cheek. I watched it fall on her cheek. The guards pushed the board away, and I was still not taking my eyes off her.

She started floating away, but as she drifted away I saw her chest rise. I felt confused, but again I didn't believe it. The bow men were ready to fire their flaming arrows. I watched her go away and as soon she reached about 40 feet away from us, her head moved.

"Ready!" Arthur said.

Her arm moved and as soon as Arthur raised his arm, I shouted, "Stop!"

Everyone looked confused, as Arthur asked, "Gwaine, what are you doing?"

I didn't say anything, but continued to watch Kumi. She moved again.

"Kumi?!" I shouted and started walking towards the ocean.

"Gwaine, what are you doing?" asked Arthur again and came by my side.

"She moved," I replied softly.

"Look, I know how hard-"

"No, she seriously moved!"

I repeatedly started shouting her name, as I entered the ocean. Bit by bit, hope and excitement came to me that maybe she's still alive. I started the point where I was swimming. Her arm moved to her other elbow, which gave me reassurance that she was still alive.

I reached the board and climbed onto it. I held Kumi in my arms as I repeated her name and asked, "Are you there, my angel?"

No response. I could feel her breath, but she wasn't speaking or opening her eyes. I stroked her face and kissed her forehead.

"I love you," I whispered after giving her a kiss.

For a while, I felt like the world stop. I was afraid she wouldn't wake up or talk to me. But that doubt all went away as soon as she moaned quietly.

I grinned and chuckled happily. Slowly her beautiful bright eyes opened and she gave me a weak smile.

"I love you too, Gwaine," she mumbled. Her eyes were about now half-way open, but I understood because she was probably weak. I laughed as I felt tears start to come. I kissed her lips, feeling like it was the first time again, and shouted to the others, "She's alive! She's awake!"

Her head turned towards them and gave them a small wave. She looked at me again, happy as ever, and stroked my cheek. Cheers were being heard in the background as we looked into ech others' eyes.

"Oh how I've missed you," she said with a smile.

"And I you," I replied.
