Merlin and I strolled up a green hill and soon reached the top to see Camelot, the kingdom where we were to live.

"There it is, Chase. Our new life, " Merlin stated. I gave a glance at him and smiled. My childhood best friend and I are gonna live there in Camelot. I felt warm inside just thinking about that.

We traveled further down the road and soon entered the kingdom.

I laughed and turned towards Merlin, who suddenly gave me a huge hug and spinned me around. He eventually put me down and his blue eyes met my brown eyes.

"So uh where are we to stay?" I asked, breaking the awkwardness.

"Well it's look like we are to stay with a man named Gaius," he remarked, looking at a piece of paper.

All of a sudden, a hanging was to be done in the town square right where we were standing.

One of the reasons Merlin and I came here was to practice our magic freely, but that plan was destroyed when the king of Camelot proclaimed that this man who was to be hung, who practiced magic.

I looked at Merlin, giving him a worried look. He in return took my hand and said in my ear, "Everything is gonna be alright."

I smiled at him and nodded. And in that moment I knew that we would.

A Week Later

"Merlin! We're going to be late!" I yelled as I grabbed our basket of food.

"I'm coming!" he yelled as he burst through the door.

I chuckled and we ran out the door to head to the forest.

After our disappointment with not exploring our magic in Camelot, Merlin had asked me if we could spend a day in the forest, using our magic. Of course I had accepted. It's not easy keeping a secret, especially in a kingdom where they'll chop off your head if they find out about it.

Merlin took my hand, making me feel butterflies as we traveled down a trail deep into the forest.

"Okay, I think this is far enough," I said as we were in the thick of the woods.

"Alright then," remarked Merlin. He dropped his bag and stood up straight. With a flick of his hand and his eyes flashing, music started to be playing everywhere.

"Miss Chase, would you care to have this dance?" he asked, bowing down having his hand out.

I laughed and gently took his hand.

"Of course, Sir Merlin!" I said politely, and looked up at his eyes.

He grinned and we came into a dancing position.

"Oh! Wait!" I pronounced and stepped away from him.

My eyes flashed, using my magic and had Merlin instantly in a new handsome outfit. Almost something Arthur would wear for a ball.

"Ah! Thank you!" he chuckled.

"Let me do the honor!" Merlin said and changed my orange dress to a wonderful silk green one. I touched it so gently and grinned.

"It's beautiful," I muttered and immediately we started to dance.

It seemed like forever to me in his arms, swaying to the music. I must admit, I got lost in his eyes.

All of a sudden, we heard a snap of a twig in the background. We quickly stopped including the music.

"Merlin?" I asked, looking around.

"C'mon, let's just walk a bit," he declared.

Still in our gowns, we strolled a while, enjoying each other's company.

Suddenly as we were standing nearby a steep hill, Merlin turned around towards me to say something, but due to his clumsiness, fell down the hill. He tumbled down like a stone and I started to laugh hysterically.

Merlin eventually stopped and laid on the ground, while I laughed at his silly action.

"What are you laughing about?" he asked, sitting up a bit.

"Nothing..." I chuckled.

I had the sudden feeling that I should tumble down to, so I did.

"Here I come!" I yelled.

I found myself rolling along the whole way, having leaves and dirt hit my face.

"Chase!" Merlin exclaimed close by.

I instantly something big. And I realized it was Merlin. Having me on top of him, I opened my eyes to see his laughing blue gems. I started laughing as I peeled off a leaf from his head and rolled off.

We laughed for a few moments, but soon stopped and we just laid next to each other.

"Chase?" he asked.

"Yeah, Merlin?"

"I have to honestly say, but you look absolutely stunning in that dress," he admitted, making me feel special.

"Thanks Merlin, you look quite like a King in that outfit of yours,"I said, turning my head towards him.

He chuckled and sat up a bit, looking towards me.

"And you look like a perfect Queen to me," he replied back.

I started to laugh, but noticing he was serious, I gleamed at him.

"I love you, Chase," he muttered and suddenly we kissed. I brought myself to sit up next to him, still connected to the kiss. Merlin scooted me closer to him as his hand met my cheek. I hugged him ever so gently, not wanting to ruin this moment.

Parting our kiss, I smiled and said to him, "I love you too."

He chuckled and instantly we kissed again.
