Tonight was the big night. And when I mean big, I mean really big.

Tonight was the annual Yule Ball and everyone was going, I guess if you had a date and I did. His name was Alfie Enoch, who is my best friend and literally the only closest guy I know in the whole school of Hogwarts. I admired myself in the mirror with my dress on. Pure white was the color with delicate ruffles from my waist down plus it was sleeveless. With my brown hair up in a bun and my blue strip of hair showing, I felt like I could wear this for the rest of my life.

"Isabella! You look amazing!" Hermione complimented, putting an earring in.

"Thanks, Hermione. That pink dress absolutely soots you so well," I replied back, turning towards her.

She laughed and gave me her gratitude.

My stomach felt bubbly with sudden fear and excitement for I realized Draco was going to be at the ball. He had been my crush for years and years. It happened when immediately he helped me up from a fall in year two. I fell in love with him immediately.

Checking the clock, I knew I had better get doing. Having my sliver shoes click down the stair steps, I strolled down the stairs into the hallway where it led into the lobby of the ball. When I reached another staircase leading to the ball, I noticed Alfie, standing next to his friends and Draco, leaning against a wall.

Alfie and Draco's eyes suddenly laid eyes upon me as I walked down the steps. But I didn't look at Alife who was my partner. My eyes were on Draco's. His black and white tux wore so well on him as he stood up a bit to have a closer look at me. Draco's gawked mouth turned into a smirk as I finally reached the last step.

I broke the intense star between Draco and I by taking the hand of my best friend as he walked towards me.

"Isabella, you look..." Alfie started to say while we walked towards the ballroom.

"What? Alfie, you can't just stop at end of a compliment."

"Just, I guess not what I was expecting," he finished.

I chuckled at his saying and turned around, hoping Draco would be behind me. And he was, but with his date of course. The blonde chick was of course flirting with him while he was having none of it. His eyes caught my stare and quickly looked away, embarrassed by his date.

"Is something wrong?" Alfie asked as we took a seat at a table. I looked him in the eye and remarked, "No. Nothing's wrong."

I wanted to so badly look back at Draco, but I didn't want to be a creeper.

Suddenly, the music started to play and Alfie stood up with his hand towards me. I bit my lip and smiled, taking his hand. After we took our positions with my hand on his shoulder and his on my waist, we started to dance.

But for some odd reason, it felt...wrong. It felt wrong dancing with Alfie and that I should dance with Draco. I noticed that Draco was right behind me, dancing with his date. And every time his face was facing me, I had to look at him. And he kept his eyes on me.

Soon, the formal dance was over and some rocking music came on. Honestly, I needed a break from dancing so I traveled to the buffet where they had some punch. Pouring some of it into my cup, I felt a presence next to me.

"Isabella, right?" A voice slurred

Frightened, I turned around to see Draco quite close to me, leaning against the table.

"Oh! Uh hi Draco," I replied, making my stomach flip.

"You enjoying the ball?" he asked, smirking a bit.

"Yeah. Yeah I am. You?" I asked, taking an awkward sip of my punch. Why am I acting such like dweeb?

Before I knew it, Draco had become really close to me and whispered in my ear saying, "I'll answer your question if you meet at the balcony in five minutes."

His hand rested on my bare arm, feeling cold to me while I tried to keep my emotions inside. Soon, he left, leaving me speechless. Questions whirled around my head asking, 'Why does he want to see me? What does he want? Does he actually like me?'

I quickly took a seat back at my table. I smirked when I saw Alfie dancing with Seamus. My hands started to sweat as I looked up at the clock. Three minutes had past.

Finally, five minutes had come.

I took a deep breath and glided towards the balcony. Opening the doors, there stood the tall, blonde mysterious man known as Draco, leaning against the railing facing away from me.

"You came," he remarked.

"Who could decline in offer like yours?" I said sarcastically.

He chuckled and looked down. "You know, I remember you."

"Remember me? From what?"

"You fell in year two and I helped you up. You were quite a shy girl if I remember," Draco remarked.

I chuckled and felt myself blushing from my action. He actually remembered.

"But I'm not here to talk about the past, Isabella," Draco said and turned towards me.

"I'm here," he moved my strain of blue behind my ear, "to talk about now and maybe the future."

"But you aren't here to talk, are you," I muttered as I scooted closer to him. His hand gently rested on my hip.

The side of his lip curled and whispered, "Actions speak louder than words."

Finally, our lips touched, making me limp by his action. My hand curled up into his blonde hair while his other hand circled around my neck. Draco's hand that was on my waist traveled up my spine, having tingles stretch across my body. Suddenly, his grip tightened and passionately kissed me harder. But I unfortunately needed a breather, and quickly stopped our precious, heated moment.

I took a few breaths and I asked suddenly, "You never answered my question."

"What question?"

"If you were having a good time at the ball."

Still in each other's arms, Draco scooted me closer to him and he breathed, "Now that you're here, I'm having the time of my life."

After touching foreheads together, we entered the ballroom hand in hand, ready to dance one last time.
