I grabbed a book from the night stand on our bed and observed it. The title was the Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien and opened it.
I was hooked and interested it until Loki bursted into the room. He was quite dashing I must say, with him looking like a mortal. I smiled at him as he gave me a smirk.
"What's up Loki?" I asked, closing the book and sitting up.
"I was curious if, oh what do mortals call it, you would kindly like to come and have an acquaintance with me? Tonight, Tabytha" he asked leaning against the door frame.
I chuckled at him and got off the bed.
"I guess you're meaning a date?" I asked slowly walking towards him.
"Of course. That's what it is," he said and straightened himself as I approached him.
"Well, I guess it's a yes for me then," I stated and gave him a kiss on the cheek, passing him into the living room.
"You know I don't prefer cheek kisses," I heard him say behind me as I looked out the window, observing the busy streets of NYC.
I brought my head down and smiled. I gave a quick gasp as his hands found my waist quickly, and they wrapped around my body.
"Do you think maybe we could change our date to now, maybe?" I said with a smirk and placed my hands on top of his.
"Of course, love," he purred in my ear and kissed it.
I chuckled as he said, "Hold on."
Immediately, a coldness came over me as I found myself on top of the Empire State on one of the eagles with Loki holding me. The city was loud and I was amazed that I seemed higher than some the gigantic buildings here. I laughed, turned around, and my eyes found his emerald ones. His grin was so contagious that one appeared on mine.
"Loki, I can't describe how beautiful this is. I mean-"
"Tabytha?" said Loki, making sure I heard his voice over the riping of the wind.
"Yes, Loki?"
Before I knew it his lips suddenly found mine as he held me so tight. The coldness of the wind whipped in our faces, but it really didn't bother me. His hand traveled up to my back to clasp gently on my head.
We eventually broke apart as I took a deep breath. I smiled and stroked his cheek, brushing his sharp cheekbones.
"Promise me something, Loki?" I asked looking deeply into his eyes.
"Anything, dear. You know I will do anything for you," he said as he moved a small strain of hair from my face and tucked it under my ear.
"Promise to never let me go? Even after this plan or attack you have on this city?" I asked and brought myself closer to him.
A pause was placed as a smirk appeared on his face.
"As soon as I saw you, Tabytha,I knew I would never let you go. And if I failed, then I don't think I could ever forgive myself. I don't what my life or world would be like without you," he stated and tilted his head a bit.
I felt my heart and stomach fill with love as he spoke those words. For some odd reason, I could feel tears coming from my eyes.
I smiled and giggled at him.
"I love you so much Loki," I said and sniffled.
"And I you, love," he said, dipping his head a bit.
I leaned in again to kiss him, in which we did. And I knew, we would never let go of each other. Forever.
