Loki's POV

After my trip back from Midgard, things just weren't the same, yet I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was. The food hadn't changed, the servants treated me like their master, but what was this emptiness inside me?

Contemplating my life literally, Asgard loomed over across the land while I leaned against the balcony railing. A soft breeze went through as I took a breath. Asgardian air was different from Midgard. It was almost more refresher there than here. Smirking, I thought of Rachel and the time we spent together inside her apartment and the small town she lived in.

Rachel was a breath of fresh air. She was different. Different than all of the other girls I had ever encountered, besides the fact that she was Midgardian. Rachel was funny in her own way with her clever comebacks and her intensive listening skills. She never once interrupted my conversation with her and the way she looked at me, reverence was inside her beautiful green eyes.

But, Rachel was nothing more than a companion to me. She cared for me like a brother, tending my needs and being there when I needed her.

Unexpectedly, something stirred inside my head, like trouble was going on. My powers couldn't comprehend the feelings here on Asgard, so I closed my eyes and tried to concentrate. Something was happening, but I didn't know what! I despised it when my powers were limited to its extent.

Cursing under my breath, I could make out a small voice inside me that scream, "Let me go!"

Opening my eyes, I let out a small breath and uttered, "Rachel."

Rachel's POV

Setting my dish down, I sat down at the empty table inside my apartment. My eyes looked at my pizza, but lost the connection with them by looking towards the chair across from me. An empty chair sat lonely on it's own, reminding me of the time with Loki.

Moving my jaw a bit, the same pain of Loki being gone entered. I really missed him.

After finding this God inside the back of an alley way, Loki had entered into my life. At first, I thought he was a lunatic when he rambled on about his powers and that he was a god so I should treat him better. But after seeing the things he could do, my mind slowly changed and believed in this man. And my feelings for him changed too.

I always asked him why he came to here, but he would rapidly change the subject to something else, like he was too embarrassed to talk about it.

I took a bite of my pizza and suddenly remembered the time Loki had pizza. We had a pizza rush for a whole week and at the end of it, we had a burger one.

Abruptly, a strange looking man entered the room sitting in the chair in front of me, making me scream. I could not see his faced due to his mask, but this man didn't seem human at all. His blue face smirked as he proclaimed, "Thanos is in need of your service, Rachel."

"Who the he-"

Suddenly, he was next to me with his hand tight around my arm.

"Let me go!" I screamed and struggled to get to of his grip, but it was no use since in a few second it was black.

Loki's POV

Thanos. Thanos had her and I knew it. I had put Rachel at risk with bringing her close to me. She could get hurt, or worse dead. Thanos was powerful, he could do anything to her.
