Chapter 29

Karry's POV

Roy was about to drag me with him when Peixun held my arm. I looked at her before she said, "Where are you going?"

I sighed. "I need to hear explanation from Roy. Didn't you hear what he say just now?"

"But I haven't done in cleaning your shirt."

"Quit it, I need to go," I said and forced her hand off from my arm but a second later she clung to me again.

She shook her head. "No, don't go!"

I frowned. "What's your problem?"

"He will tell you lies!" she shouted while pointing at Roy.

I looked at Roy and he just shrugged. "He's my friend. I know him and I obviously trust him way more than you."

I scoffed when she started to cry. "Are you scared that he'll reveal what you've done?"

"N--no! Of course not!" she widened her eyes and shook her head continuously. "I didn't do anything anyway."

"Then let me go," I said coldly before she hesitantly released her hand from my arm.

I followed Roy to the empty space of the park before he finally spoke up.

"I'm sorry," that was the first thing he said.

I looked at him in confusion. "What? Why are you sorry?"

"I.. I actually know everything. I saw it, when Peixun put the camera in your locker," he muttered, but loud enough for me to hear.

"At first I thought she just wanted to put like a love letter or something, but she looked so suspicious. I was about to check on that when Yanxi suddenly appeared. So I stayed at my place and watched her. I think she also thought what I thought, cause I heard her muttering the word 'camera'. Then you came," he explained.

He took a deep breath and continued. "She looked so nervous. I thought she would tell you, but no, she didn't and I don't know why even until now. Then yeah, the incident happened."

Anger was boiling inside me. I couldn't hold myself anymore so I harshly grabbed his shirt collar. "YOU KNEW ALL OF THIS FROM THE START! THEN WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?!"

"I'm sorry," he whispered.

I laughed sarcastically. "Sorry? Do you think that word is enough to pay back all of the things that happened to Yanxi?!"

"It's your fault too! Yanxi tried more than hundred times to explain to you, but you never even once listened to her!" he raised his voice.

I started to get frustrated. "That's because I was truly hurt! I thought the girl that I love the most betrayed me! If I don't love her that much, I won't be like this, Roy."

"I LOVE HER TOO, OKAY?!" he suddenly yelled. There was a moment of silence before I slowly loosened my grip on his collar before releasing him completely.

"What.. did you just say?" I asked, making sure that I heard the right thing.

A single drop of tear rolled down his cheek. "I like her. No, I love her. I know I'm selfish, I'm such a jerk, but I want her to at least look at me. I thought by not telling you, you and Yanxi won't get back together for quite some time, and I can use that time to get closer to her."

"Yeah, we did get closer, a lot. She opened up to me, and I thought I might have a chance," he paused and closed his eyes for a second before shaking his head. "But no, I was wrong. All she talked about was you, and only you. She likes you a lot, Karry. She loves you."

"Then why did you tell me all of this? You know what will happen after this, right?" I asked softly.

"I know, but I can't anymore. I can't see Yanxi being hurt like that every single day. I was hurt too seeing her like that. She didn't have any appetite, she couldn't sleep at night, she didn't take care of herself properly, and you made it worse for her by kept hurting her heart, I didn't know you're that mean, Karry," he frowned. "So it's better to see her happy getting back with you, cause I will be happy too when she's happy."

"Why is she like that? I thought, she didn't like me that much. I thought I wouldn't cause a big effect on her," I said, feeling terribly guilty.

Roy forced a smile and wiped his tears away. "You mean the world for her, and I'm not lying."

I pulled him into a brotherly hug. "Sorry, Roy. I didn't know that you like her, I didn't know that seeing me with Yanxi would hurt you so much. I'm sorry for yelling at you too. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry for everything, I truly am."

He shook his head and broke the hug. "Don't be sorry, I'm fine. Now go to Yanxi, say sorry for countless of times until she forgives you. Do anything she wants."

I nodded and smiled. "I will. Thank you, Roy, really. I'm being sincere."

"I know. Now go."

I gave him one last quick hug before running to Yanxi's house with my heart pounding.

What if she never ever forgive me? I've hurt her way too much.
