Chapter 20

Yanxi's POV

We were on that awkward position when suddenly the door flew opened. My eyes immediately went to the door and saw Qilin, standing there, his body was frozen after looking at us. That kid seriously couldn't knock the door.

"Uhm, sorry for interrupting. You can continue whatever you're doing," he said and closed the door awkwardly.

I looked back at Karry and he was still smirking. My hands tried to push him with a big force, but he was too strong.

"Your brother said we can continue what we're doing," he said.

"Continue?! I don't even know what we're doing, wait no, I don't know what YOU are doing!" I frowned and hit his chest a few times.

He laughed and finally stood up, "It's fun teasing you."

"I should've not take care of you yesterday night," I muttered as I sat up and glared at him.

"Then why did you take care of me?" he asked.

I was shocked by the sudden question, "I--I don't know!"

"You want to know the answer?" he leaned closer to me as I leaned back. "Because you care too much about me. Just admit it, Yanxi."

"Yeah, as a friend," she said quickly and avoided my gaze.

He smiled in victory, "Finally."

But I'm sure I actually have more feelings for you, even though I don't know what kind of feelings. This is all your fault, Karry.

He then stepped closer to me. He held my shoulder. I wanted to move back, but my body just frozed. Why am I so dumb?

He leaned closer and closer, until our faces were apart by an inch. I closed my eyes.

Push him, Yanxi! Push him!

Just when I get my sense back to push him, a felt a slight peck on my forehead. I opened my eyes, looking at him with a very confused face.

He had a few steps back and laughed, "What? Why is your face like that? You thought I'll kiss you? On your lips?"

I widened my eyes, "HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT EASILY?! AND YOU STOLE MY FIRST KISS!!"

He laughed, "Are you pretending to be dumb or you're really that dumb? That's just a slight peck on your forehead and a kiss is on your lips when both of us respond to each othe--"

"Okay stop, you don't have to explain it in detail!" I frowned, before the situation got any weirder.

My breath was becoming uneasy, I could feel my face heat up. My heart was beating very fast.

"Well I thought you don't know what kiss is so I was explaining it to you," he shrugged.

"JUST GET OUT!! GET OOUUTT!!" I yelled at him with my whole strength and pushed him outside. I closed the door and immediately locked it.

I need to calm myself down. About my feelings just now, I'll think about it later.

Karry's POV

After she slammed the door, she locked it. My body automatically turned around and I bang the door a few times.

"YANXI!! Why did you lock the door?!" I shouted.

"GO AWAY! I'LL TALK TO YOU LATER!" she shouted back.

I sighed in relief and went down the stairs. Thankfully she wasn't really mad at me. I know it's my fault, I should've not kissed her forehead just like that, but my body was moving by itself.

But what did I just feel? Did I just feel disappointed with her answer she gave just now? About her being care about me just as a friend. Wait, 'just'?

I sat on the sofa and ruffled my hair. Ahhh why am I like this?

"Kai-ge?"

I turned around and saw Qilin standing behind me, holding a laptop.

"Are you okay?" he asked.

"No, I'm not," I muttered.

He sat beside me and put the laptop on the coffee table in front of us.

"Mind sharing with me? I'm a good listener," he smiled.

I squinted my eyes, "Why should I share my most personal story with someone I just met?"

He sulked and stood up, "Fine."

"Eh wait wait!" I grabbed the hem of his shirt. "I think, it's better if I share this with you."

He cleared his throat as he sat back down and folded his arms, "Okay, tell me. What is it about?"

"It's about your sister," I replied.

He nodded, "Ohhh my sister.., what happ--"

He suddenly paused and widened his eyes. He moved closer to me and held both of my hands, "Wait, my sister?! You like her?!"

This time, I'm the one who widened my eyes and covered his mouth, "Don't speak too loud! She might hear you!"

He removed my hand and took a deep breath. "Okay, continue."

"So.. I think.. This is what I think okay, it's not like--"

"Yes yes I know, ge! Continue," he cut me off.

"I think I MIGHT like her," I finally said.
