Chapter 11

Yanxi's POV

He looked a bit surprised by my sudden question but he answered, "I'm fine."

He was about to go again when I said, "Wait! You won't be crying if you're fine. You're lying."

Great. You just got yourself into trouble, Yanxi.

"I don't like people lying to me," I said and glared at him.

He wiped his tears and smirked a bit while looking at me, "So you expect me to tell you the truth?"

"Fine, then don't tell me anything," I said and packed up my things then I stood up.

"I see, now you really care about me, huh?" he asked, still with that smirk on his face.

"Well, who's not curious when someone in front of you suddenly cried?" I asked him back.

"You," he said. "I thought you hate me? Why do you care about someone you really hate?"

"Ahhh I don't know!" I messed my hair and stomped inside before I remembered something.

I turned back and cleared my throat, "Uhm by the way, who's that girl yesterday?"

"Ahh, Peixun? My dad has a very close friend, and she's his daughter," he replied casually and walked closer to me before standing right next to me. "Why?"

"No, it's just she seems so annoying. I don't like clingy people," I said.

"Who doesn't hate annoying clingy people? I hate that kind of person the most," he said and started to walk away.

But surprisingly I followed him and walked beside him because I still wanted to ask him questions, "Then why were you so nice to her yesterday? I was so surprised."

He sighed and stopped his track, so I stopped too. He turned to me, looking so serious. "Don't tell anyone about this, okay? I'm gonna tell you because you keep asking me questions but I'm serious. If you tell even one person, it will be the end of your life. Get it?"

I rolled my eyes, "Yeah yeah, now tell me."

"My dad wants me to marry her. Since we were born to this world, he and his friend always plan a marriage for us. We grew up together, but I don't like her, at all. At first, she just sees me as a friend, but when as she grew up, she started to have feelings for me," he said and paused before he continued.

"She becomes very clingy, she calls me everyday, asking me to video call, when she knows that I also need my private time. She always bothers me," he sighed.

"Then why do you keep being nice to her? I thought you're that kind of person who will just hurt someone that annoys you?" I raised an eyebrow.

"I can't do anything about it. My dad will kill me if I ever hurt her even once, and she's the type of person who will get offended very easily so I need be extra careful," he said.

I widened my eyes, "K--kill?"

"Not kill like taking my life," he rolled his eyes. "But he will do something about it, and I'm pretty sure he will hurt--"

He stopped and sighed, "Never mind, you don't have to know about this any further."

"Fine, it's enough for me anyway," I said and smiled a bit while looking at him. "I'll help you with Peixun."

He widened his eyes, "No, don't get yourself into this. You don't know my dad, he's very--"

"It's alright."

A little smirk was formed on his lips, "Now I'm sure that you really care about me. You even want to help me."

I crossed my arms and glared at him, "You want me to help, or not?"

"Up to you, you want to help or not? It's your choice," he asked, and started to walk again.

I followed him, "Aish, you're seriously--"

"What? You're acting like that but deep inside you, you really care about me, right?" he asked, without looking at me as he opened his locker.

I stopped my track.

Yea, maybe he's right. Do I.. really care about him..? But it doesn't mean that I like him, right? Yea I only care about him but I still hate him. Yeap that can happened too, nothing is impossible right?

"Why are you staying there? You're going to be late to class, look it's time already," he said and closed the locker door.

"Th--there's nothing! I was just thinking! Yea I was thinking," I stuttered and hurriedly opened my locker door to cover my face from him. "Aish I'm going to be late."

"There's still 10 more minutes so take your time," he said annoyingly.

I closed the locker door with a loud bump and shouted, "KARRY, YOU IDIOT!!"

OMG GUYS, I'M FREAKING OUT!! So I was watching Asian Games Closing Ceremony, and Jackson suddenly appeared! He even danced and sang! I was so shocked, I never prepared this. I only know that iKON and Suju would perform. I should've buy the ticket. 😭😭 And I can't believe I'm currently in the same city with him. ❤❤😍😍
