Chapter 13

Yanxi's POV

"Hey dumbass," Karry said as he walked passed me and sat on his seat.

I turned back, "Idiot, don't call me dumbass."

"Said the one who chat with the auto reply," he teased as he put on his earphones.

I sighed in frustration, "How should I know that  it's an auto reply?!"

He pretended that he didn't hear me and kept scrolling down his phone.

"Aish," I muttered and went back to my normal position.

"Yanxi, what's with your face?" Roy asked as he smiled and sat beside Karry.

"Your stupid friend is pissing me," I said.

He laughed, "Karry?"

"Who else."

"First time ever someone got pissed at Karry," he chuckled.

"Really?" I asked in disbelieve.

"Mhm, besides me and Jackson, nobody ever got pissed at him," he said.

"Seriously nobody?"

He nodded, but he started to be unsure. "Yea, as far as I know. I think, maybe."

"Despite all he did? Bullying people?" I asked again.

"Mhm, I don't know what happened with the students here," Roy laughed.

"Girls fall in love with him, while boys look up to him," Jackson suddenly appeared and sat in front of me.

"Except me," I said, proud of myself. "But seriously though, why would boys look up to him? Shouldn't they be like jealous or something?"

"Believe me, you will slowly fall for him," Jackson said as he turned back and smirked.

I got goosebumps, "Eww no way I will like him!"

"You will! You will!" Roy cheered.

"Roy, that will never happen--"

Suddenly Karry stood up, making our attentions went on him. He stood right in front of me, taking steps closer until there wasn't any gap between us. He bent his back and leaned foward. Our faces were so close.

My heart beat increased rapidly and I could feel the heat on my face. His face was too close to mine, I wasn't used to be this close with guys. I could even feel his breath.

He stared into me deeply and smirked, "Are you sure you won't fall for me, Huang Yanxi?"

After he said that, he started to walk away. He went outside the class like nothing happened while I was frozen there, dumbfounded.

Roy laughed and pointed at me, "See! You're falling for him!"

"I'm not!" I frowned and covered my face with my hands.

Really? Falling for him? No way.

It was lunch time. I was about to go and grab my food when I saw Peixun, in front of the lockers. She was holding something small, black colored in her hand. She looked so fishy, so I decided to stay in the class for a while, watching her.

I started to get curious when she opened a locker, and I'm pretty sure it's not even hers. My eyes widened when I realized it's Karry's locker. His locker is two lockers away from mine, I knew it.

"What is she doing?" I muttered and frowned when she put that tiny black thing at the edge of the locker.

She looked around, making sure nobody was there and quickly closed the locker. After that, she ran away.

I bit my lip, still looking at his locker. I was debating whether to check his locker or not. Finally, I decided to just check for a second. It's not wrong to be a kind friend, right?

I stepped out of the class and slowly approached his locker. I opened it and my eyes were searching for that thing.

Where is it? I'm sure she put it somewhere around the corner.

After a minute, I finally found it. It turns out that it is way smaller than I thought. I almost couldn't see it. But then I frowned after I realized what it was.

A camera? Is she some kind of stalker or what?

Just when I was about to take it, I heard someone called me.

"Yanxi."

I gasped and turned, only to see Karry staring at me, expressionless.

"What are you doing there? Why are you opening my locker?" he asked.

My hands were shaking, I started to get panick. But then I smiled when an idea came to my mind, "Ahh just now your locker was opened, so being the kind person I am, I helped you to close it. But then, I was so amazed by the amount of love letters in your locker so I stared at them for a while."

Nice reason, Yanxi!

He seemed to believe me, "Ohh, okay then."

I was relieved and immediately put my books in my locker as he opened his locker to take something. I stole some glances at him, and he seemed like he didn't notice the camera.

Maybe I should tell him.

I closed my locker and approached him, "Karry."

I widened my eyes when he sling his bag to his shoulder and closed the locker. He looked at me, still expressionless, "What?"

"Why are you bringing--"

"I'm going home, I have something to do," he said coldly.

I nodded, "Ahh I see."

After that, he left me. He seemed like he was in a hurry, and he wasn't in a good mood as well.

Maybe later.. I'll surely tell him.
