Chapter 16

Yanxi's POV

Roy flinched, he seemed shocked by my sudden action. But he managed to say some words, "You're welcome, Yanxi."

I broke the hug and looked at him with teary eyes, "I know that Karry is that type of person, but I never expect this to happen."

Roy raised an eyebrow, "If you know that Karry is like that, then why you didn't expect this kind of thing will happen? You know him, he did it to many people."

"I don't know why, but a small part of me hopes that he will forgive and understand me," I said.

He sighed and held my shoulders, "Karry.. I don't think he can change.. Yanxi, you should stay away from him."

I frowned and nodded, "I will. But now I have to straighten up this problem. I can't let him gone mad at me without knowing the reason behind it. I need to end it in good terms."

Roy smiled, "Okay."

I was passing by the teacher's room, ready to go home when Karry went out of the room. Our eyes met for a few seconds, before he turned and walked pass me.

I turned and shouted, "Wait Karry!"

He stopped his track, his back was facing me.

"Uhm are you supposed to clean the toilets?" I asked.

He didn't say anything and just continued to walk. But I chased him, "Wait! I'll help you!"

He went to the room of supplies to get a mop and a pail. So I did the same. He then went into the boy's bathroom. I hesitated to go in but finally after taking a deep breath, I stepped in.

Karry looked a bit surprised by my action but after that he looked away and started to do his own thing.

"You can clean the floor here, I'll clean the cubicles," I told him and went inside one of the cubicles. I was about to puke when the sharp smell hit my nose.

Hold it, Yanxi! You can do this! Do it, and end this quickly.

After around an hour of complete silence, we were done with everything. We went out of the bathroom. Karry was still being ignorant. So I did something that I never wanted to do in my whole life.

I grabbed his wrist. He turned around, and starred at our hands. "What are you doing?" he asked with his coldest tone.

"Karry, I'm sorry, I'm truly sorry. I know I should've tell you yesterday night," I said softly.

He stayed quiet, not looking at me. Well at least, he didn't cut my line again.

"Mind hearing my explanation?" I asked carefully.

He sighed softly, removing my hand from his. He sat on the nearest stairs and looked at me, "Spit it out."

I beamed, "Really?"

Flashback

"I'll come to the airport right now!" I shouted happily.

I quickly took my jacket, my wallet and wore my shoes. I took a bus and after around half an hour, I arrived at the airport.

My eyes were searching for him, the one I love the most. My lips curved into a smile when I saw him, waving at me.

I ran and hugged him tightly, "QILIN!! I MISS YOU SO MUCH!!"

"Jie, I can't breathe," he said and I immediately broke the hug.

"Awww I miss you calling me jie-jie," I said and pinched both of his cheeks.

Qilin, my little brother, my one and only, the only one that I love in this world, is finally back.

"So what brings you here?" I asked.

"I'm so tired of being there, I think it's better for me to come here and be with you, jie," he smiled.

I chuckled and ruffled his hair, "What? You have a problem?"

"Uhmm yea, kind of," he shrugged.

"What problem?" I asked.

"Long story, I'll explain to you when we get home," he said but then he suddenly smirked.

"What? What's with that smirk?"

"Jie, after five years not meeting you, I just realized that I'm way taller than you now," he said proudly.

I widened my eyes and smacked his head, "I HATE YOU!!"

End of flashback

"Ahh, so your brother came back yesterday after so many years?" Karry asked after I told him everything.

"Mmm," I nodded and looked down. "I'm sorry, we went home at 2 in the morning. I wanted to text you but I immediately fell asleep after I got home."

"Okay then, apology accepted," he said and stood up.
