Chapter 21

Karry's POV

"Who? My sister?" he asked which made me hit his head.

"Who else! We're always talking about her!"

He rubbed his head and pouted, "Sorry.., but you really like her?"

"Hm," I nodded.

"I can't do much, since she never dated anyone yet as far as I know, but I can help you with something," he said.

I suddenly got hyped, "What?! Tell me, tell me."

"Calm down, ge," he fixed his position and started talking. "So, when we were small, Yanxi jie ever told me about what she wants her date to be like with her future boyfriend. She said she likes going to theme park, or just usual park, strolling around, holding hands. Then when the sun sets, she wants to go to a beach and enjoy the scenery."

I started to be unsure, "How can you remember all of that?"

"Of course I remember, I didn't have that much memory with her," he said, suddenly became sad.

I noticed his sudden change of expression, "Oh, sorry."

He smiled, "It's okay. Oh, just to remind you, don't confess to her in front of many people, she hates it. She hates to be in the center of attention."

"Really? What a coincidence, I also don't like to confess in front of people," I said, but a second later I asked again. "But are you sure about the date she wants?"

Qilin nodded, "She always wants that. I don't know if it already changes now since I haven't met her for years, but that's what she always wants when we were little."

I smiled and hit his shoulder gently, "Thank you, you're a nice little brother."

"What are you guys doing there?"

The two of us jumped after hearing a voice. We both turned and saw Yanxi on the stairs, looking at us suspiciously.

"Oh, just a usual chat," I said, laughing nervously.

She squinted her eyes, "Really?"

"Aish don't look at us like that, jie! You better make breakfast now, I'm hungry. I'll tell Yaowen to take a bath now," Qilin said and immediately ran upstairs.

"Is there something--"

"Nope, now let's make breakfast," I cut her off to prevent her from getting more suspicious. I stood up and went to the kitchen, but she still  stood there. "Aren't you coming?"

"Yes I'm coming!" she shouted and ran to the kitchen.

Yanxi's POV

I was pretty sure that Karry and Qilin were talking about me just now. They looked so suspicious. I was curious to death but it seemed like they were not going to tell me anytime soon.

"Can you cook?" I asked Karry as he was trying to figure out where the cooking pan was.

"Of course, I'm Karry," he said and smiled in satisfaction when he found the pan.

I rolled my eyes, "Make sure you don't burn down my kitchen."

He smirked and looked at me, "You don't believe me? Now watch."

I sat down on the chair and watched him as he took some ingredients like eggs, butter, leeks and onions. He started cooking, and I have to admit that he looks hot with that black loose shirt, gray long pants, and of course his semi-wet hair while cooking. I was wrong, he's really good in cooking.

After around 15 minutes, he was done and he caught me staring at him. He smirked again, "Am I that hot while cooking?"

I widened my eyes as I realized what I was doing. "NO! You look ugly!" Then I covered my mouth, those words just slipped out from my mouth just like that. Karry frowned.

"Sorry! I tend to talk the other way round if I'm shocked or startled," I unconsciously said. But a second later I realized that I was indirectly telling him that he IS handsome.

"Sh*t," I muttered.

Karry smirked, "You know that you're indirect--"

"I know!" I avoided his gaze, trying to hide my red face. "Can we please not talk about it? Let's just eat."

I stole a few glances at him and he was putting the egg pancake on the plates. He then brought the two plates and put them on the table. One in front of me and one beside me. He took a seat beside me and I just moved away from him a little.

"You're so cute," I heard him said, making me looked at him directly in his eyes.

"What?"

"I said you're cute, Yanxi," he smiled.

I blinked, "Wh--why so sudden?"

He didn't answer but instead he cut the pancake and stuffed it to my mouth. "Just eat."
