Chapter 14

Yanxi's POV

I threw myself on the bed and started hitting my head. I was kicking the air like crazy before I finally calmed myself down and stared at the ceiling of my room. I was recalling the scene that happened in the class this morning, when Karry's face was so close to mine.

"That stupid Karry! Why would he even do that?! Like, why does he even care about me liking him or not?!" I talked to myself, there were mixed feelings inside me.

I must be crazy if I like him. Remember Yanxi, you used to hate him!

But that's used to.. what about now?

I shook my head.

Ahhh I don't know!

Suddenly I heard the bell of my house rang. I immediately woke up from by bed and ran downstairs.

I opened the door and widened my eyes when I saw Karry. He was wearing a plain white t-shirt with black leather jacket and long black pants. I admitted that he looks so cool in those.

"How do you know my house?" I asked.

"Tsk, you surely don't know me," he said, kind of annoyed.

Then a thought came to my mind. Right, his dad is the owner of  the school. He could just ask the school for my address.

I cleared my throat, "So what brings you here?"

"Do my homeworks," he said and handed me a pile of books.

I sighed and looked at him boringly, "No."

I was about to close the door but he held it, stopping it to be closed. His eyes were looking at nowhere but my eyes. He was looking straight at me, deeply. He started to take steps closer to me, as I stepped back.

What are these feelings? Why am I lost like this?

I didn't realize that he was already in my house. He then closed the door behind him and started to walk away, acting like I wasn't there at all. That was when my brain finally worked.

"KARRY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" I shouted at him.

He slammed the books on the kitchen table and started to walk away without looking at me, "Do it."

Anger was boiling inside me, "Can't you stop?! Stop telling me to do your stupid homeworks!"

"No," he said coldly and opened the door. "I have something to do. I'm being serious now, so do it."

"Why is it always me? Tell someone else to do it!"

"Because your work is the best, at least better than them," he said. "So do it. I'll give you a rare item again."

"What if I don't want to?"

"You'll know it tomorrow," he said and after he said that he slammed the door.

"Excuse me? Why is he being so rude to me when he's the one who's asking me for help?" I said it out loud, hoping that he could still hear me because he was outside.

I sighed. I'm really not in a mood of doing his homeworks. He always tells me to do his homeworks when he is not in a good mood.

"Should I do it or not?" I muttered.

Just then my phone rang, a smile was shown on my face after I saw the caller id.

"Hello?"

I gasped after he said that one line which made me really happy.

"Alright, I'll come right to the airport now!" I shouted happily.

Finally, he's back!

"Yanxi!"

I heard my name being called as soon as I got into the class.

"Where is my homework?" he asked.

I looked at him, feeling a bit guilty, "Karry, I'm sorry but--"

"Class! Settled down and give me your homework that is due today!" the teacher suddenly came in, cutting my line.

"Talk later, give me the book," he said and before I could say anything, he took the book from my hand and went to give it to the teacher.

I froze there. Actually I haven't do his work. I had something urgent to do yesterday so I couldn't do it. I wanted to tell him but why am I scared?

"Yanxi?" Roy waved his hand in front of my face.

"Oh?" I realized that I was blocking his way. "Sorry, Roy."

"Are you daydreaming?" he asked.

I smiled and shook my head.

The teacher was already starting to check the books. I handed her my homework and went back to my seat.

I need to tell him, I shouldn't be scared.

"Karry," I called his name as I looked back.

"What?" he replied without looking at me.

"Uhmm, actually last night I have something urgent to do, so...," I paused.

"So what?" he asked.

"Uhm I haven't do your--"

"Karry Wang!" I flinched when the teacher shouted.
