Follow Up

Hey guys,

I've finally reached the end of my shock and have a few things to talk about.

So I always wait until Wikipedia update their pages, that makes things pretty official, and they have. So the split up is real, not a prank or joke, Hayley and Chad are over.

This put me in a real state of shock, not because I didn't forsee it because I've said on here that I did, but because last night I found out about a song Chad wrote in 2013 for his side project What's Eating Gilbert's first album (That New Sound You're Looking For [2015]) called Bad Mood. Bad Mood is written from his point of view about a girl he's with that's just so depressed and he's sick of it and he's gonna leave if she doesn't buck up and be happy. I'm not exaggerating, I held my hand to my forehead and repeated the words "but you cheated on her!" while listening to it. And I wanted to do a lyrical analysis because a lot of people were speculating "oh Happy Being Miserable is a response to Rose Colored Boy" but as it turns out Rose Colored Boy seemed to be a retort to Bad Mood, and it seems Hayley and Chad have been having this problem for a while. I don't know that I'm actually going to post that analysis.

To my third point, I'm stopping Rose Colored Girl for a while...it just seems wrong at this time to write that kind of thing. I'm sorry, it's not gone forever, just for now.

To my last point, I know it would be fun to gossip about the cheating rumors and what's to become of the two matching tattoos they have, and the most important thing; custody of Alf, but I'm not going to do that, this is a pretty fresh wound I think it needs time to heal before anyone starts speculating. Also a lot of people are saying "fuck Chad!" I get it, but he's a person too, I'm sure his fans will be supportive and hopefully don't trash talk Hayley because then I'll throw down with them and it won't be pretty. 

And Hayley and Chad seem okay, it seems like this was at least planned a couple weeks in advance, and they've been interacting fine on Twitter (literally just last night) and from what I've seen Hayley hasn't been struggling with singing certain songs on tour. I think this was so surprising is because they've been interacting normally like they always have. They seem okay, hopefully that continues and they find happiness. They're only separated, not officially divorced yet, maybe they'll get back together, who knows? Just as long as they're both happy.
