Hey guys,
So there was something else I wanted to talk about about from the interview, and I actually had to go research it because I didn't believe it when I read it.
So as it turns out, After Laughter only sold 53,000 copies its first week, I couldn't belive that because so many people we're excited about it, and it got a lot of critical praise, literally the same amount of praise as Self-Titled. Self-Titled sold 106,000 it's first week, exactly double that, with the same acclaim.
This was a shock to me because so many more people were excited for After Laughter than for Self-Titled.
The reason I'm bringing this up is because in the interview Hayley said something that's really bothering her, making her think of ending paramore, is that people keep tweeting these sales numbers to her and pointing out how much more successful S/T was. I just wanna say that no matter how much I critique an album, I don't go to Twitter and throw sales figures in anyone's face, because that's fucking rude!
I know some people on here agree with my opinion on After Laughter, and I sincerely hope it isn't any of you doing this, but if it is fucking stop! This is silly and stupid and rude and its really hurting someone! There is no fucking reason to throw the numbers in anyone's face. You people are fucking it up for the people who like Paramore because your making them contemplate whether or not they wanna do this anymore. If you don't like the album so be it but don't be a fucking asshole!
