JEREMY

This is a theory I've been thinking about myself, about the recent announcement that Jeremy Davis is leaving Paramore. I'll start this by telling you everything that seemed off to me about this

1.) The Announcement

Strangely enough the announcement for this departure was posted late at night (or early in the morning depending on where you're from) on the Paramore Facebook page, and was not signed by the remaining members of Paramore. When Josh and Zac Farro left in 2010 a lengthy blog post was posted to the official Paramore website, and at the end was signed by Taylor, Hayley, and Jeremy. This recent post was brief, unsigned, and very undetailed as to the reason for the departure. The Farros clearly stated personal reasons, while only assumptions can be made as to why Jeremy actually left.

2.) The Only Evidence

The only thing that actually discusses the departure is the Facebook post, Fueled by Ramen have nothing on their website or Twitter comfirming it, and none of the Paramore members have been active on social media since before the split. The most recent activity was a tweet about Christmas trees Hayley posted 2 days before the announcement was made. However, Jeremy posted a couple short video clips the day (or should I say night) that his departure was announced. The clips are short and are of him spinning in a chair in a studio while hip-hop style beats (that he presumably produced) play loudly in the background, Jeremy himself does not talk at all. All he does is spin in his chair and does a few hand gestures and head movements, presumably dancing. In my opinion he did look slightly disoriented, or tired, but I'll let you be the judge. Nevertheless, he doesn't seem sad or depressed at all.

3.) "I feel no sympathy..."

When the Farros left in 2010, Hayley didn't even take a moment to breathe between all the tweets she was posting, wishing Josh and Zac good luck and thanking fans for the support. But like I've said, all the members have been noticeably absent. As I'm posting this it is December 17, neither Hayley nor Jeremy have wished Taylor a happy birthday....If you haven't seen it or heard of it before, Paramore did an interview shortly after the Farros split called Paramore: The Last Word, where they talked non-stop about the split for 45 minutes on television and how it made them feel. Now, however, none of them are saying anything. Either the departure was terrible, or maybe it didn't happen.....

These are only 3 reasons this whole thing seemed off to me. Besides the fact that the band isn't acknowledging it at all and seem totally okay, and only a mysterious Facebook post can be used as evidence, I guess the departure seems totally believable.

Some people believe it's a joke, some believe it is a test of the fans' loyalty to the band, and some believe it was a mastermind hacking that has yet to be noticed by anyone.

Me, I don't believe it at all.
