Just some things I've always wondered/ been curious about with Paramore. The most recent of these that I'm sharing is going to be about Jeremy "leaving", so I'm breaking my promise a bit. Some of these are my own, some I've found online, a...
For the first time I ever remember, Paramore is getting rid of everything in their webstore, they're having a huge sale. But the focus seems to be on one specific area of the webstore...

Maybe I'm reading too much into this...but why do all the promo pictures just show self-titled merch?
I fear one of two things my friends:
1. I was right, and Paramore are really going for a drastic change, hence why they want everything that represents their old image out of the webstore. Or, I was still right and this is the beginning of the end, and they're trying to get rid of excess merch and cash out.
2. This is what I call the AWKIF effect.
After Riot! came out, people started to notice the band starting to shift away from All We Know Is Falling, they completey wiped out their setlist except for Pressure. Fans started to complain because they liked those songs, so eventually it came up in interviews, and they gave excuses like "there's only so much time in a set." But the they also said things like "the old songs just don't fit with the newer songs," or "we changed, we don't connect with those songs anymore."
Contrary to popular belief, this is actually where the new vs. old Paramore debate started. Older fans started saying they missed the old Paramore who emailed fans and talked to them on MySpace, and they missed the songs on AWKIF that they really connected to. After Riot! Paramore became a closer version of the Paramore we know today, after they gained mainstream popularity for the first time.
It seems like anytime Paramore, more specifically Hayley Williams, goes through a little bit of change, they blow it out of proportion. When Hayley Williams changes, it's not a little bit, she becomes a different person. Josh Farro was saying he didn't even know who the fuck she was anymore, and that she had changed a lot since she was a kid. And think about it, every time something emotionally damaging happens, she changes. She breaks up with Josh, she gets with Chad, a lot of fans, and her bandmates notice a huge personality shift. People notice another personality shift after the Farros leave, they start to say Hayley seems more calculated and fake. Now Jeremy has left, so where does she go from here? Obviously whenever Hayley changes, Paramore changes, so whatever Hayley's personality reflects, Paramore's music will reflect, and lately she seems distracted, and in a false happiness, like she's just smiling away to keep the hurt away.
I think we're seeing the shift. Hayley was deeply hurt by Jeremy's departure, obviously, and I think she's pushing away from the S/T Paramore that we just met, because Jeremy was such a big part of that. I think Hayley is desperate to forget Jeremy, so desperate that she'll become a completely different person.....again.
