Hey guys, so I made a post about JMJ leaving Nashville and was theorizing that this could mean that the album is finished, which would make sense for an early (Jan. or Feb.) 2017 release (which someone on Twitter confirmed that Hayley said in her recent Rock Sound interview that the album is coming out in early 2017). So obviously between now and then, Paramore have to promote the album, which they usually do by playing festivals and small shows. I tried to look up some festivals I thought they could possibly be at, and holy shit did Paramore pick a bad time to make a record.
Reading and Leeds: next month, but the lineup has already been confirmed and there's no Paramore
SXSW: March of next year
Rock am Ring and Rock im Park: already passed this year in June
Warped Tour: already passed
Soundwave: last festival in 2015, cancelled in 2016 due to poor ticket sales, festival manager says it's over on Twitter
All in all, I don't think Paramore picked a good time in festival season to make a record, but that could be good news. In between promoting with festivals, Paramore also did a few concerts, the dates and places were pretty sporadic (a show in Pomona here, a show in Manila there, etc.). I was thinking since they have so much time between now and when they plan to release the record, maybe they'll do a full tour? Standard tours usually last a couple months, so they could easily get at least one in before the release date, and then possibly show up at Jingle Ball again at the end of the year. Where is this possible tour gonna be? Well, that's what I want you guys to tell me. Do you think they'll go somewhere new? Somewhere they haven't been in a long time?
And in regards to Aaron, he does have his own tour for his solo album coming up, which will last from August 4th to October 30th. I think, if Paramore aren't finished with the album, and they need another couple months to finish it, that could line up perfectly if they decided to do a tour in November/December. If they are finished with it, I have my fingers crossed that they would still wait until November or December, because I just really don't want to see them replace Aaron. He brings such an incredible energy to the stage and every time he just looks up and smiles mid-song you can see that he enjoys touring with them, and I really hope he can continue to tour with them.
I would like to point out that I'M NOT FOR SURE SAYING ANY OF THIS WILL DEFINITELY HAPPEN, I'm just saying that it could, possibly. So tell me, where do you guys think Paramore would go if they did a promotional tour for this album? Thank you guys for reading, I'll see you soon with a new one, and I love you all. - H
