Epilogue

A/N: Hey guys, Sammi here! Can you believe that this story is almost over? I'm sad but I'm also excited to announce that the new story will be posted after this one is finished. Caty (my co-author) and I are discussing things related to the new story so keep your eyes peeled! I won't say too much but I will say that it will be interesting. Also, this chapter is written by Caty herself (I'm going to be helping of course).

***Six months later***

It had been six months since you had started dating your boyfriend, Yugi Muto. You couldn't believe that it had been so long since you had met him and his friends. You didn't think that this much time would pass after the battle with the phoenix fiends.

You felt like nothing would go wrong, like the world was peaceful again. Well, until your uncle decided to give Yugi the "hurt her and I'll kill you" speech. "Y/N!" You hear someone calling out to you as you are about to walk out of the school. "Yes Yugi?" You say, turning to face the boy with gravity defying hair. "Will you go to the carnival with me?" He asks nervously suddenly finding the ground very interesting. "Absolutely!" You say then walking home with Yugi hand in hand.Once you get to your house with Yugi you walk over to your uncle. "Hey Uncle Pegasus, is it okay if I go to the carnival with Yugi?" You ask, looking Pegasus straight in the eye. "Yes, but first I want to have a quick word with Yugi-boy." Your uncle says walking out the door. Oh great this again, you thought as you walk out to see Pegasus talking to Yugi. "Yugi-boy, you hurt my little niece and I will personally put you six feet under!" Pegasus says as you walk over to the two. "Yeah you totally will uncle.", you remark in a sarcastic tone. After that you and Yugi walk to the carnival hand in hand. "Hey Y/N! Do you want to ride the Ferris wheel?" Yugi asks as you mentally panic because you had a fear of heights. "Sure." You say as Yugi drags you to the Ferris wheel and hands the man running it two tickets. You and Yugi then sit down and the ride starts. As it slowly starts up you start feeling more and more panicked. "Y/N, are you ok?" Yugi asked with a concerned tone. As Yugi said that the Ferris wheel got stuck and you and Yugi were on top. "U-Um I'm af-fraid of heights.", You say shaking when your seat started to move slightly and you jump over to Yugi, clinging to his side. "Its okay, we'll be okay, I promise." Yugi says hugging you. An hour later you guys finally get down. You were breathed out a huge sigh of relief when you both left the Ferris wheel. Yugi asked once more, "Are you sure you're okay, Y/N? You look kind of pale." You give him a shaky smile, "I'll be alright." Yugi then remarks, "Come on! Let's go have some fun!" He's so cute! This is why I love him so much, he makes me so happy. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with Yugi.

***Later on***

It was later in the day and you were both getting ready for a party thrown by your Uncle Pegasus. You said, "I'm surprised that uncle even wanted to throw a going away party after everything that's happened these past several months." Yugi shuddered, "Don't even get me started on what he said to me before, Y/N." You roll your eyes, "He's just being overprotective, Yugi. His threats aren't even that scary at all." You set the tablecloth on the table and put a cover over it. You then feel Yugi hug you from behind. You ask playfully, "Is there anything that I can help you with, Mr. Muto?" Yugi replies, "Very funny, Y/N." He gives you a kiss and you go back to getting everything ready. Yugi asks, "How much more do we have to do?" You respond, "We still have to make the actual food, silly. Uncle Pegasus hates premade stuff and besides, he would want me to make something anyway." Yugi began to laugh at your statement, making you add quickly, "It's true though!"

You stood in front of a cookbook as Yugi said, "You know, you look absolutely adorable in that apron." You remark sarcastically, "I totally do." Yugi adds, "I'm serious Y/N, you look really cute in that apron. You know that I'm not a very good liar when it comes to stating my opinion." You giggle, "That's true, Yugi." Yugi then said, "Anyways Miss Amazing Baker, what are we even making?" You reply, "We're making a lot of things and it might take us a while."

**Twenty minutes later**

You let out a sharp squeal as you felt Yugi cover your face with several kisses. You began to giggle and then heard someone clear their throat. "What is going on in here, you two?" You saw your uncle give you a questioning glance. You answer, "Calm down, Uncle Pegasus. We just finished baking everything and we were about to put them on the serving platters." He raised his eyebrow, "Oh really now? It looks like you two were more counterproductive than you were when Yugi-boy wasn't here." You roll your eyes, "Oh hush uncle! We weren't doing anything stupid if that's what you were trying to imply." Pegasus chuckles, "Alright, alright! I just wanted to let you lovebirds know that your friends will be here shortly!" You give your uncle a knowing look and he nods. Yugi became confused, "What was that all about, Y/N?" You answer, "Uncle is making us wear formal clothing to this party, long story short, this clothing isn't making him jump with joy." You were dragged into a dressing room where you saw a cute dress hanging on the rack along with several accessories and a pair of boots. You got dressed and exited the dressing room.

You were waiting for Yugi to come out and show you what he was given to wear. When he came out, you felt like our heart was about to burst in shock. You felt yourself turn cerise at Yugi's appearance. Yugi said, "Do I look weird?" You didn't respond and felt yourself flush even more. You finally say, "You look really handsome, Yugi. I'm kind of speechless." Yugi remarks, "I was going to say the same thing about you, Y/N. You look so beautiful right now. I just want to steal you away from this party and have you all to myself." You lightly slap his arm, "You don't need to steal me away, I'm already your girlfriend silly." Yugi shakes his head, "You're lucky that you're so cute."

About ten minutes later, all of your friends arrived in their best attire. You and Yugi greet them together with huge grins plastered on to your faces. You were both happy that you were able to see your friends again after such a long period of time. Joey said, "Hey guys, long time no see! How have you guys been?" Duke pointed out, "There's no point in asking that, Joey. Those two are closer than they were before and they always will be." Tristan said, "Well now I can tell you all what my future plans are. I'm planning on going to college so I can study martial arts." Tèa exclaims, "That's great Tristan!" She then adds, "I'm going to a dance academy so I can pursue my dream of becoming a dancer." Duke said, "I'm just going to run the game shop for a little while and see how that goes." Joey chimed in, "I'm still going strong about my future! Joey Wheeler is going to become the best duellist in the world!" Duke remarks, "I bet you'll become the best for thirty seconds and then fall to becoming the worst one." Joey became annoyed, "You want to say that again, Dice-Boy?!?" You shake your head, "Will you two ever stop bickering like that?" Tèa said, "This is why you're so great, Y/N." You then said, "Alright guys! Let's have a good time!" Everyone else cheered in agreement.

You watched as Tèa waved, "Bye Yugi, bye Y/N! I'll come and visit you guys soon!" Tristan and Joey smile at the both of you, following Tèa's movements. Duke said, "Let me know if you guys need anything, I'm just an email or phone call away." You reply, "We will Duke, we promise." Duke then adds, "Oh and if you two ever get married, I'll be sure to lend a hand." Duke walks away from your sight as he said that to the both of you.

The future is near, what it will hold for you is something you will discover as you venture on your journey.
