A/N: This lovely amulet you see is NOT MINE!! It belongs to the lovely Rittik on Deviantart. Beautiful one and it perfectly fits with this chapter. I've fallen in love with her lovely creations. 😁. Also, this is going to be a short chapter. I know that a lot of these chapters are short-forgive me-I've been busy working on an assignment that's been frying my poor writing brain.

Well, now
If little by little you stop loving me
I shall stop loving you
Little by little
If suddenly you forget me
Do not look for me
For I shall already have forgotten you

If you think it long and mad the wind of banners that passes through my life
And you decide to leave me at the shore of the heart where I have roots
Remember
That on that day, at that hour, I shall lift my arms
And my roots will set off to seek another land

****Two days later****

Yugi paced around his room, thinking of what you had told him. How are we supposed to find something that we know nothing about? What did she mean when she said that "we won't be the only ones who suffer?" He laments to himself and becomes unsated at how nothing was making any sense. This is too much to think about.

Elsewhere, a booming voice spoke out, "Safiya! You must not fail me once more, the fate of our clan rests upon the plan you have conceived after the careful considerations that you have made after everything that has happened." Safiya bows, "I promise that I will now fail you, my master. I know that this new strategy will surely bring those pathetic humans to their knees in surrender. They won't know what hit their weightless minds."

You grip the bathroom sink, mind becoming blurred at what you had just witnessed. That's the third time I've had that vision. The same vision had been haunting your mind for the past 2 days, ever since you had discovered Yugi's shaking body in the dense forest where you had first battled Safiya and her fiendish followers. What does that stone have to do with everything? Why? Your heart began to beat with a sense of angst. You look at yourself in the mirror and breathe. "This isn't something that can be forgotten. I know what the risks are, but I also know that this issue can't be taken lightly. I can't let anyone else get hurt because of me and my rash decisions. It would be too much of a burden from a psychological perspective." You knew that the enemy had their own ways of exposing someone's vulnerability, so you wanted to find a way to somehow counteract it. I will find a way, even if it kills me.

Why were you feeling this way? Why did you have the feeling that you were being watched? You look at something, you knew that if you told your friends (or Yugi for that matter), they'd start questioning your actual motives. You open a small cupboard hidden inside your desk and take out a small amulet. Let's hope that Yugi or anyone else for that matter doesn't find this amulet. If they do, they'll start asking a ton of questions. You look into the core of the amulet as it lit up in a light shade of azure. I wonder what it's showing to me. This is something I can't tell anyone about, mom even warned me about what would happen if I did. You observe the amulet, realizing that it was showing the same images you had seen in the vision before. This...this is showing what I saw back in the forest. What does this mean? You freeze at the thought of the next events that might occur. No...I won't let that happen. I can't, I'd never forgive myself if anything happened to everyone. The pain would be too much to bear.

You put the amulet back in its hiding spot and breathe out in relief. It's a good thing that no one found out about this amulet. That would be something that would negatively impact the mind from a psychological point of view. You whisper to yourself, "I just want to wake up from this nightmare. I don't need any more of these overly traumatic events appearing in my way. They'll just throw me off of the course of success that I want to eventually come to." I know what I have to do but I can't do it. I can't leave everyone. You think of what the amulet showed you and you say, "Is the amulet really that accurate though? What if none of that happens?" You weren't certain that it wouldn't though.

*****Evening, nightmare*****

You could feel the pressure, the weight of defeat laid heavily on your shoulders. What were you supposed to say or do? Your choices varied between becoming a slave to the darkness or admitting that you and the fate of the world would become nothing but a shard of hopelessness. Your heart beat erratically at those thoughts but you knew that being defeated was not an option worth taking consideration of.

"You pathetic transients! You will bow down to our queen when we call this realm ours, if not you will suffer the consequences!" A female fiend cackled with confidence in her tone of voice. You heard Joey shriek with pain, making Yugi yell, "Leave my friend alone, you cretin! He doesn't deserve to be punished!" The female creature mockingly responds, "Poor little human, your friend doesn't deserve sympathy, neither does the rest of this useless human world! You creatures deserve to rot in the realm of your demise!" Yugi glared at the fiend and said nothing in response. You saw a flame appearing behind Yugi and you yell, "Yugi, look out behind you!" The flames flew towards the both of you-

**************

You bolted up from your bed, sweating from the nightmare that you had just witnessed. You breathed heavily as you reeled from the scene. You looked at the clock and muttered, ''How is it only 2 a.m? Why does that nightmare seem more real than the one I had several months ago?" You shook your head and attempted to go back to sleep.

You laid awake and mutter once more, "I can't lie to my friends anymore."
