Chapter 19

A/N: Hey guys! It's Sammi, so I would like you guys to know that I now have a co-author! She will be writing some of the chapters along with me. This was it. The final battle between light and darkness. "Y/N!" You hear as you walk off the duelling arena. "What's wrong Yugi?" You ask when the boy reaches you, breathless. "The Phoenix Fiends took Joey, Tèa, Tristan, and Duke!", Yugi says finally regaining his breath. "When?!?", You yell clearly confused. "They disappeared when you and Kaiba were duelling!", Yugi states clearly shaken up. "Okay, let's go!" You say as you run out of Kaiba Corp to the place in the woods where they held Mr. Muto and Pegasus and sure enough there they are tied together in the middle of the room. "PHOENIX FIENDS SHOW YOURSELVES!" Yugi yells and a very muscular man with a supermodel-like girl walks out from behind a pillar. "Ahh they've arrived!" The fiends smirked at the both of you, their eyes full of vengeance. What do they want with everyone else? Yugi asks, "What do you want with my friends? What do they have to do with any of this?" I don't understand their motive, why would they take our friends? Unless-oh my god. Why didn't I realize this before? "Yugi, they want power. They're trying to drain everyone of their spiritual energy so they can revive someone." Yugi became puzzled, "Wait a second, what do you mean by that Y/N?" You said, "Remember before when we were only fighting two of them and how they wanted to 'rise again'?" Yugi replies, "Yeah, what about it?" You said, "They need energy in order to revive whomever they need and if they have enough of that energy, the world will be in melancholia before we can do anything else about it." The fiends cackle, "So the mortal knows about our plans, that's no good at all!" Yugi remarks, "You're going to have to duel us if you want to get to our friends!" The male fiend spoke first, "Why don't we introduce ourselves first? I am called Osiris and this is my partner Neith. You won't be just duelling for the world, if you lose your friends are going to turn into human artifacts in our realm of hell!" You growled in anger at their remark.

You and Yugi suddenly saw an amber light forcing the both of you to become separated from each other, causing Yugi's screams to become muffled within the murky light. You ask, "What have you done?" Osiris laughs, "What's wrong, mortal? Sad that your friend isn't here to play hero with you?" Yugi became angry at how he couldn't even see you or his captured friends. He asked, "Is this your idea of a battle?" Neith answers, "This isn't just a game human-" Both fiends said in unison, "It's a war between light and darkness!" You all said, "Duel!"

Yugi knew that it was a risk to duel alone but he knew that he didn't exactly have a choice right now. It's now or never. If we don't win this duel, we'll all turn into human decorative pieces for these freaks. Osiris spoke first, "I shall start our duel first, mortal. I begin by summoning Cyber-Tech Alligator in attack mode and now I end my turn." Yugi gulps, "He summoned a monster with 2500 ATK during his first move!" Alright then, it's my turn to show him! Yugi began, "I summon Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress in attack mode. Next, I'm going to summon Beaver Warrior in defense mode and I place one card face down to end my turn."

You were scared, not only were you separated from Yugi and your friends but now you had to deal with a narcissistic female fiend. Neith said, "I begin by summoning Gem-Knight Tourmaline in defense mode, and now I will end my turn." You reply, "My move! I summon Sun Crystal Sorceress in attack mode and with her special ability, I can summon another Spellcaster to the field. I summon Sun Crystal Witch in defense mode. Now I place two cards face down to end my turn."
