The Constellation Cup matches were drawing to a close (almost). The only Thunder division match that was left was you against Yugi. Not only were you nervous, you were frantically pacing as you thought of the worst possible ways that you could lose this duel.

I hope this duel turns out okay, I don't care if I lose, I care about is doing my best. You waited for the intermission to end, heart racing with anticipation. You hadn't seen Yugi since the tournament began and you wondered how he was feeling about the entire thing. You sadly sighed to yourself.

There was still a little while until the match started. You were on your own, thinking of what do during the duel. Yugi knew your strategies but you had to find a way to outsmart Yugi somehow. How can I outsmart someone who knows my every move? Sure Yugi's an amazing duellist, but he's also good with coming up with strategies to beat his opponents. I don't want to lose this but I know how much Yugi wants to win this too. You knew that you both had to duel with everything you had.

"Now announcing our finalists for the deciding match on who will duel Seto Kaiba later on tomorrow, Yugi Muto and Y/N L/N!" This is it. This is the duel that decides it all. "Duellists, get your duel disks ready!" You both said, "Let's do this!" You were extremely nervous. How am I supposed to face him like this? I don't even know what to do right now. Not only does he know what cards I have, he knows when I'm going to play them. I bet that Yugi has some kind of counter strategy for beating my deck. Well, I guess I have to create my own counter strategy then. Yugi said, "Y/N, no matter what happens, let's make this duel one to remember." You reply, "Alright then." Let's hope this turns out okay. Yugi spoke first, "I'm going first, Y/N! I summon Queen's Knight in attack mode! Since she was successfully summoned, I can summon King's Knight, now since I have both King's Knight and Queen's Knight on the field, I can summon Jack's Knight! I then place one card face down to end my turn." My turn, here goes nothing. You said, "Alright then, my draw! I place a monster in defense mode and place two cards face down to end my turn." Yugi thought to himself, "What is she up to?" Yugi remarks, "I don't know what you're up to, but I'm not letting my guard down! King's Knight, destroy that face down monster!" You remark, "You just activated the ability of Sun Crystal Shield! Since it was destroyed, I can summon a Spellcaster or Dragon-type monster from my deck or hand. I choose Sun Crystal Wyvern, spread your wings in defense mode!" Yugi adds, "I sacrifice all three of my monsters so I can summon, the Dark Magician!" Oh great. Dark Magician emerged on to the field, ready to fight. Yugi concludes, "I place a card face down to end my turn."

You thought to yourself, "Who knows what Yugi's planning. He already has his Dark Magician on the field, and if my prediction is right, he'll either attack or he's going to summon another monster to the field before making his next move. I have to prevent Yugi from attacking my monster somehow." You respond, "Alright then, I begin by  summoning Sun Crystal Sorceress, next with her special ability I'm summoning Amores of Prophecy in attack mode. With Amores' ability, by revealing Spellbook of Wisdom, I can summon a level 4 or below Spellcaster from my hand! Now I summon Sun Crystal Witch in attack mode!" You add, "With the effect of Spellbook of Wisdom, I can choose one Spellcaster-type monster on my side of the field and it won't be affected by either spell or trap cards. Sun Crystal Sorceress, is now unaffected by Trap cards this turn." I hope my plan works. I just need Yugi to destroy Sun Crystal Wyvern, then I can sacrifice my other monsters in order to summon something that will surprise Yugi. You conclude, "Now I end my turn." Yugi remarks, "I'm going to win this, Y/N! I love you but I'm going to beat you with the heart of the cards!" You reply, "I'm ready to face your deck, Yugi! I've been preparing for this for a while and I know what to expect. I'm not going to be surprised if you pull out an obvious trick." Yugi said, "Really? I'm not going to pull anything that would make my strategy obvious, I have ways to mask it. You may know what cards I have in my deck, but you have no idea what my strategy is to beat you in this duel." Yugi continues, "I summon Buster Blader to the field and I'm using Polymerization to fuse him with Dark Magician! I summon Dark Paladin to the field! Now, since you have a Dragon-type monster on your side of the field, it gains 500 ATK points." I forgot about that monster, I guess that I'm going to have to destroy my own monster.

You were trying to think of what to do now. Not only did Yugi have a powerful monster on the field, your original strategy is now working against you. Not only is Dark Paladin strong, but now it's probably going to destroy Amores or worse, Sun Crystal Sorceress. My defences aren't strong but it will only help me for one more turn. I have to find a way to summon the monster I need m, but how? If I destroy Sun Crystal Wyvern, it will only make it more powerful—wait!  That's it! I don't need to destroy my Wyvern, I can just sacrifice it! Duh! Why didn't I think of that before? Yugi declared, "Alright Dark Paladin, destroy Sun Crystal Witch!" This is going to hurt a lot. Your LP decreases to 2200. Yeah that hurt a lot. Oh well, at least none of my other monsters are gone. Yugi adds, "Well Y/N, I'm ending my turn." This is it, my next draw has to be something that can get me out of this situation. Please deck, don't let me down! Please let me draw at least one spell! You drew your card and sighed in relief. Sun Crystal Spellbook. Thank you! You said, "I activate a spell called Sun Crystal Spellbook, with it I can sacrifice the monsters I currently have on the field to summon a Level 7 or above monster from my deck or my hand! I summon Rose Wyvern, now let's demonstrate one of your abilities!" All of Yugi's face down cards were destroyed, making him become half-surprised and half-shocked. You said, "Now Rose Wyvern, destroy Dark Paladin with Rose Typhoon!" Yugi's LP drops to 3500. You add, "Oh and since my wyvern's attack was successful, she can attack again!" Yugi's LP dropped once more, signalling that he had lost the duel. I actually beat Yugi! Yes! "The winner of the Thunder division final match is Y/N L/N! Now Miss L/N will face Seto Kaiba for the Constellation Cup Championship title tomorrow! That concludes the Constellation Cup for today, have a good day everyone."

I won! I actually won! No way! I thought that Yugi would win but oh my god! I did it! Joey said, "No way! Yugi lost?" Yugi remarks, "That duel was really something that's for sure." Yugi adds, "Congratulations, Y/N. You deserved win today, you worked so hard to get here." You blush, "You're being too kind, Yugi. I didn't think that I'd win." Yugi kisses your cheek, "I'm proud of you, my little fighter." You blush once more, you both heard Joey and Duke fake gag. Everyone else laughed at their reaction.

Now the only non-world saving match left was the Constellation Cup final match against Seto Kaiba. I'm ready to face you Kaiba, so watch out!
