Chapter 11

A/N: short chapter!! It's a filler chapter too. Also I know that Domino High School has a rule about no dating but just pretend that it doesn't exist in this story, okay? Okay. Just pretend that it's a regular high school.

Shouldn't let you conquer me completely.

Now I can't let go of this dream.

***One week later***

It had been a week since Yugi had confessed his feelings for you. It had also been a week since you became injured, your injuries were healed now and you were happy about that. You were currently getting dressed for school, searching for something that would look decent. You could hear your uncle say, "Ah Yugi-boy! What a surprise!" Yugi can't see me like this!!! You dove into the bathroom and sigh, "I swear, uncle has such bad timing when it comes to stuff like this." You shake your head and peek out, sighing with relief.

Pegasus said, "Y/N is upstairs getting dressed. Why don't you go up? I don't think that she would mind." Yugi responds, "Oh okay." Yugi made his way to the familiar bedroom, his mind thinking of a week ago. His cheeks became pink at the memory. Yugi called out, "Y/N?"

You hear someone call out for you and you rush to reply, "Just a moment." You look at yourself, and say, "I'm coming." You see Yugi giving you a small smile and he asks, "Did I come at a bad time?" You shake your head, "No it's fine, Yugi. I just finished getting ready." Yugi remarks, "You look pretty." You blush in embarrassment, not used to the fact that you were being complimented. Yugi asks, "Want to walk to school together?" You nod, "Sure, I'd like that."

Yugi takes your hand and you call out, "Bye uncle! See you later!" Pegasus chuckles and waved goodbye.

You were holding your book in one hand while holding your bag on your shoulder. Yugi asks, "Do you want me to hold some of your books?" You shake your head, "I should be fine." Just as you said that, you fall forward, nearly dropping your books. Yugi caught the books in one hand, and you with the other. He asked, "Are you okay?" You said, "I might take that offer." Yugi shakes his head in amusement before taking some of your books. Yugi offers his hand to you, making you slightly puzzled. He blushed as he said, "A boyfriend holds his girlfriend's hand, right?" You redden at the fact that Yugi had called you his girlfriend. You take his hand, his fingers brushing against your own as you both walked towards Domino High School.

You don't feel Yugi's hand let go of yours as you both entered the school together. You both turn around when you hear the voices of your friends calling out to the both of you. Joey smacks the violet-eyed boy's back making the both of you stumble slightly. He exclaims, "Good job, Yug! You finally told her!" Tristan hits Joey's head, making him yelp, "What was that for, Tristan!?!" Tristan said, "Oh my bad! My hand slipped." Joey said, "Yeah sure, that totally happened by accident." You reply, "It's fine, Joey. Don't worry about it." Joey remarks, "Sometimes I wonder how you can be like that." You look at Yugi, who looks like he's trying not to laugh.

You feel Yugi's hand let go of yours, instantly missing the warmth from it. You sit in a desk in front of Yugi as class had started. You quietly listened to the teacher as she spoke, her eyes suddenly trained on you. Oh no, I have a bad feeling about this. She spoke, "Miss L/N? Would you like to solve this equation?" This is why I don't like mathematics. You go up and write the answer to the question. You then go back to your desk as you watch the teacher's eyes enlarge with surprise.

It was now lunch time, and you were glad that your mind could take a break from all of the thinking you had to do. Yugi sat with you and watched you, as you wrote something down. He takes the pencil out of your hand and you protest, "Yugi! I was using that to write something!" Yugi responds, "You can do that later, Y/N. Can't we relax for a bit until our next class starts?" You sigh in defeat, "I guess that wouldn't hurt." Yugi remarks, "You spend too much time studying." You rest your head on his chest and he smiles to himself. "She's so cute", he thought to himself. You ask, "Hey Yugi?" Yugi responds, "What's up?'' You ask, "Did you ever meet someone who wasn't human? Like a spirit or something?'' Yugi responds, "I have actually, it was when I still had the Millennium Puzzle. The spirit inside the puzzle was a Pharaoh from ancient Egypt who had lost his memories before he was sealed inside the puzzle itself. Eventually, he had to go back to the afterlife, he had to lose the duel we were having and saying goodbye was one of the hardest things I've ever done. He was a really good friend to me and for a while, he was my partner in crime.'' You said, "That meant that you learned a lot from this ancient spirit though, right? I can imagine how hard it must've been but in the end you not only made a friend, you picked up habits from that friend and used them to your own degree in life." Yugi answers, "I guess you're right. I did learn something from Atem and he learned things from me too. Also, I don't even know how you can respond like that after what I just told you." You said, "It just happened?" Yugi laughs, "Sure it did." You whine, "It did though! I can't help it when I think of stuff like that, it makes me turn into some overly intelligent person!" Yugi smiles, "Don't be so worried, silly. I love that side of you." You blush at the declaration. 

***Later that day***

You exhale in frustration as you attempted to understand what the History teacher had assigned for homework. This doesn't make any sense!!  Yugi said, "I've never seen you so focused on something before." You were both at Yugi's studying together when Yugi made the observation. You throw an eraser at your violaceous-eyed boyfriend's head, making him say, "That's it! You're going to get it!'' You tried to dodge him but failed to do so when he caught you in his arms. Yugi hugs you and says, "Say you love me, Y/N!!" You tickle him and remark, "Not giving in that easily!'' You temporarily escape Yugi's strong grip and he breathes heavily, "Okay, I think that's enough." He hugs you from behind and added, "You're so adorable when you're so focused on something." You reply, "Well you're so cute when you're being very cuddly.'' Yugi replies, "You know, you're the cutest girl that's ever caught my attention." You turn carmine at his remark. 

You were happy with Yugi and you hoped that nothing would stand in the way of your happiness.
