Kunlun Mountain Part 4 - The Return

Chapter 59 - One Week

One Week.  That is the time that Mo Yuan gave his Disciples, son and soon to be new wife, to complete the rebuild of Kunlun Mountain.  No one was left idle as the entire Mountains inhabitants flew into overdrive to complete the restoration of all bed chambers, the Grand Hall, the hot pools, the Grand Causeway, and the multitude of areas that just needed a little more attention to bring the entire mountain back to its former glory.

Leaving the mountain directly after breakfast and taking a packed lunch with them, both Ye Hua and Gaogui headed for the East Valleys where three waterfalls were already in construction.  With Ye Huas help, Gaogui hoped to have all three finished by the end of the day so they could then move onto the bed chambers, several of which had collapsed entirely.

"Have you informed Lanhua of the wedding date?" Ye Hua asked.

"Yes, though he already knew.  He's been paying close attention to our return for some time." he replied smiling.  

"Good.  It will be good to see him again.  Do you know if he is bringing anyone else?" he asked.

"I am not sure.  Maybe just him." he said though the thought of others coming would definitely be a bonus.

"Neither of us have attended a wedding before." Ye Hua said.  He had been thinking a lot about marriage lately.  Di Jun had already begun to teach him the more intricate workings that went on behind the scenes.  Dealings and private conversations behind closed doors that he had recently begun to allow him to attend.  And that was to prepare him for the time he would one day become the Heavenly Emperor.  One that would need an Empress.

Understanding what he meant, Gaogui continued to work as they talked.  "Are you worried about a future wife Ye Hua?" he asked smirking at him as a large boulder was raised into the air.

"Aren't you?  One day you will take over as head of Kunlun Mountain and no doubt his title of War God too.  You will need a wife to calm that reckless spirit Gui Gui." he teased as he dragged vast amounts of dirt towards the newly laid boulder to secure it in place.

Ye Hua was unaware of the predicament that Gaogui was in, so he did not take his comment to heart.  Though he had thought of it many times since meeting the girl Lanfen when he first arrived.  She was very pretty and as he brought her face back to mind, he once again began to wonder if he would ever have a relationship with a woman.

"Who knows.  Fate gives us what we need, besides is there someone you fancy?" he replied as another boulder was lifted into the air and placed next to the previous one.

"Maybe." he smirked at him as another load of earth was dragged forward.

Almost dropping the boulder on him, Gaogui quickly placed it.  "Already?  Who?" he demanded to know.  

Laughing, Ye Hua pushed the dirt in around the newly laid boulder while Gaogui picked up another.

"Seriously Gui Gui, you need to get off this mountain.  You're not going to find a wife among men." he laughed at him.

"I know that!" he unintentionally snapped at him as the next boulder was placed.

"Ahh come on, don't get mad."  Ye Hua shook his head at him.  "Look.  Di Jun wants me to go straight to the Demon Lands after this week to help Lord Honghui.  And from there, out into the Realms to offer assistance.  Why don't you come with me for a few days?  We'll be back in plenty of time for the wedding preparations." he suggested as more dirt was dragged forward.

"You're going to help Lord Honghui?" he asked frowning.  "Does father know?"

Nodding his head, he stopped what he was doing. "Yes, but your mother doesn't.  So if you come, it is best not to tell her." he said with a small grimace.
