Given the amount of dangerous missions involved, a nurse can be very valuable and vey necessary at S.H.I.E.L.D. With your experience, you were able to become that nurse. For the last few years, you've spent your days and nights patching up injured S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. Every time someone comes in with a new injury, you always tell them to be more careful the next time, and it seems to you that they either don't take that seriously or just don't try hard enough.

One day, a man you've never seen before (but does look familiar) walks into your office.

"Oh. I'm sorry, I must have the wrong office," he says, looking around.

"This is the nurse's office," you say. "I'm the nurse. Are you sick or injured?"

"Oh, no, no. At least not that I'm aware of. Hi, Tony Stark. And what can I call you?"

"Nurse Y/L/N. That must be why I thought you looked a little familiar. Tony Stark. You're Iron Man, right?"

He smiles and nods. "That's certainly me. I'm usually in the Avengers' headquarters, but sometimes I come around here to annoy Fury about something. So, the S.H.I.E.L.D. nurse. That must a tough with all the crazy stuff they get into."

You nod. "It can be, but I don't mind."

"Ah. Well, see you around, Nurse Y/L/N."

You don't think you'll see Tony again after that meeting, but he does come back. In fact, you notice he seems to come to S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters. No one seems particularly happy about this, but you're secretly happy every time, because he always comes by your office to chat.

Tony doesn't seem to have any reason to be visiting S.H.I.E.L.D., and other than talking to you, the only thing he seems to really do is get on everyone's nerves. It makes you feel silly to think he might be coming around just to see you, but there's doesn't seem to be any other reason. And if he is really only hanging around to see you, that has to mean he likes you quite a lot.

On one afternoon when he comes knocking on your office door, you've just finished restocking your supplies, and you say, "You caught me at a good time. I just finished restocking, and I have no patients."

"Well, aren't I lucky," he says with his usual smile. "You gonna have it easy for the rest of the day?"

"I hope so. So, what are you doing here again?"

"Well, I'm just, um, meeting with some people, going over some stuff. Visiting my favorite nurse, of course."

You smile. "You favorite, huh? You know, I didn't know any better, I would say you're only coming here to sweet-talk me."

He shrugs. "Sweet-talk may or may not be on the agenda. I was going to ask: Once you're done in this nuthouse for the day, do you want get out of here and go do something? I feel like you and I ought to hang out somewhere that's not here."

"Are you asking me on a date, Mr. Stark?"

"I guess so. And please, it's Tony. So, would you?"

You nod. "If you can give me a few hours, yeah."

"Okay, that's great. I think I might have an actual meeting to go to somewhere, so I will be here in a few hours, okay?"

After Tony leaves, you sit down at your desk and smile to yourself. Has he only been coming to see you? You don't know, but either way, it looks like you have a date tonight.
