"Are you sure you're okay?" Emma asks you again.
You nod. "Yeah. I'm good. Really, Emma, I am."
Living in Storybrooke, Maine is just about one of the most dangerous things ever. At least you think it must be. Getting kidnapped by some evil-doer and then almost dying is quite the terrifying experience. You're still a little in shock, but thankfully you have Emma around to worry about you.
"Thank you for rescuing me," you say to her. "Really. If you hadn't shown up, I think I would have been dead. But don't you have more people you need to go out and rescue? I mean, you are the sheriff."
"Far as I know, there's no one else right now," she says. "I just wanted to check up on you, make sure you're okay."
You sigh. "Well, getting kidnapped and almost dying all in one day isn't a very enjoyable experience. Seriously, though, I appreciate you constantly checking on me. It's sweet, but you don't have to, you know."
She smiles a little. "I'm glad you appreciate it, and I want to. I want to make sure you're okay."
"Thank you, Emma." You give her hand a gentle squeeze. "You have to be the greatest hero I've ever been rescued by."
"Y/N, I think I'm the first hero you've ever been rescued by."
You shrug. "Doesn't really matter, though, does it? You'll always be the best."
She smiles wider, and gives you a kiss.
"I should probably go check up on things at the station, though," she says. "Will you be okay?"
"Yes. Promise."
You watch her go, and then smile as you think about how lucky you really are to have Emma Swan on your side.
