You and Bella are driving in her truck together one evening. She offered to give you a ride home, and you gladly agreed. It gives you some more time with her.
She doesn't make conversation, just drives quietly. You want to strike up a conversation, but you really have no idea what to say. You don't want to say the wrong thing and have her think you're a weirdo or something.
"Are you okay?" she asks. "You seem kind of nervous."
"Uh, no. Yeah, I-I'm fine," you say. "So...when are you free to hang out again?"
"I actually don't know. Maybe later on in the week."
"What about the weekend?" you ask.
"Yeah, I guess so. I was going to spend some time with the Cullens, but...I don't think that's going to work out."
"Oh." You're not sure you should ask about that, in case it's anything she doesn't want to talk about. "Um, well, if you're free-"
"Yeah, that'd be great," she says a little too quickly. "Let's hang out, please."
"Uh, okay. Saturday, then?"
"Yeah, Saturday's good," she says with a nod. "This is your house here, isn't it?"
"Yeah, it is. Thanks for offering me the ride," you say as you pull up.
"Sure, of course. I like you, Y/N. You've been a good friend."
"Oh. Well, you're welcome. Uh, good night, Bella."
"Good night."
You get out of the car and enter your house, wondering if you just landed yourself a date with Bella Swan.
