You watch as David loads up his gun and looks around you, making sure the coast is clear. You're really doing this, you realize. The coven was doing this, going up against this new lycan army, for Selene, whom you're not even sure David can trust.

"David, are you really doing this?" you ask. "Are you sure you can trust Selene in this?"

He gives you an incredulous look. "Why would ask that? Of course we can trust her. I've been working with her this entire time. We know who the enemy is."

When he said 'we', you know he meant Selene and himself, no one else. That was exactly the thing you dreaded hearing.

"Well, I'm not sure she can be trusted," you say. "She's practically an outlaw. She's been wanted numerous times."

"They were wrong," David says. "They're the enemy, Y/N."

You growl in frustration. "Fine. Then you can have fun helping Selene with her task. You obviously enjoy her company, anyway."

You storm off, leaving David by himself.

When David comes to find you later on, you're not quite over it. You don't want to talk to him, but it isn't only that you're mad at him. You're surprised at yourself for acting that way. You're usually good at keeping calm about things, and you wouldn't have expected this from yourself.

"Something's wrong," he says, sitting down next to you. "What is it? What's bothering you?"

You shrug. "I guess it just confuses me that you would put your coven in danger to help Selene. I know now that she was right, but I didn't understand at first. I don't know why I said those things."

"This is a difficult time for everyone," David says. "Tensions have been running high. You don't need to worry, Y/N. We're all going to get through this."

He pulls you to him and kisses you. You kiss him back, hoping it will put down any fears you had about him and Selene.
