Chapter 79; Perfect & Words

"So are you nervous?" I asked Ethan as I was about to go on stage in London.

"Well, yea. I hope she says yes," he chuckled and fumbled with his hands, nervously.

"She will," I assured him and gave him a hug. In the middle of my set I would bring Ethan & my mom on stage and sing a song before Ethan gets down on one knee and asks her.

What Ethan & my mom don't know is the special guest that will be singing the song with me. My mom is a huge fan of his so I can't wait to see her face.

Harry's mother, Anne, is here today as well since I invited her. Harry obviously couldn't be here since he was on tour himself just like Shawn but it was fine.

Peter, Margarete & Eli where here today, too but my mom didn't know and apparently it was really hard for everyone to keep that from her. Ethan & I went to join everyone and Evan told me that he camera was about to livestream so Theo put some music on to pump ourselves up for the show.

I hugged my mom and Ethan before making my way to the stage with Adam, Nick, Theo & Kyle. Farther away from my mom I saw Margarete, Peter & Eli so I hugged them, too and held my pointer finger to my mouth as I looked in the camera.

I laughed and really close to the stage I saw Anne so I went to her and hugged her like everyone else.

"Have fun, honey. You're going to kill it," she smiled and hugged me again. I thanked her for coming and waved at the camera before it ended the livestream and showed the video.

Everyone positioned themselves and soon I was standing on stage, living my dream.

Close to the end of my set it was time for me to start with the plan.

"Alright everyone, as you may or may not know. My family is here to day," I said and waited for the screams to quiet down a little.

"And so I want to bring out my mom and Ethan," I said and looked at the spot where they are supposed to be. I saw my mom refusing but Ethan got her to follow him to the stage.

"What are you doing?" my mom asked as she stood next to me on stage. I chuckled and turned towards the crowd.

"So I'm going to sing my mom's favorite song called 'Perfect'," I said and someone from the staff brought two stools for them to sit on.

I made a sign for the crew behind my back and I heard the guitar playing. What all these people didn't know was that Ed Sheeran was just behind the stage ready to come out and sing with me. He was also playing the guitar right now.

I sang and saw Ethan grabbing my moms hand, making me smile as I continued.

When I finished the chorus Ed Sheeran's voice echoed through the arena as he sang the second verse. The screams got louder and louder as Ed walked out on stage, towards me, my mom & Ethan.

My mom's eyes welled up and she saw him and I smiled widely. Even Ethan looked shocked as he saw Ed, making it so worth it.

Now I know I have met an angel in person

I don't deserve this
You look perfect tonight

Ed & I sang the last part together and backed away from my mom & Ethan because it was time...

Ethan stood up from his chair and grabbed my moms hand in his, pulling her up. I quickly handed him my mic and walked back to stand next to Ed.

"Thanks for doing this," I whispered to Ed.

"Anytime," he said and wrapped his arm around my shoulder as we watched my mom & Ethan. Ethan lifted the mic to his mouth and smiled lovingly at my mom.

"I love you, Melissa," he said, making everyone 'aww'.

"I loved you since the day I first met you. You know I'm not good with words but you're the most beautiful woman I know and you're the love of my life. We had a rough start, I admit but we pulled through that because our love is so strong. After months of dating you finally introduced me to your daughter who I already consider my own," Ethan said and looked at me for a second with a huge smile on my face.

I teared up a little and waited for him to continue.

"I've never loved anyone more than I love you. Not only have you brought Mila into my life but you're also about to bring three more beautiful and smart kids into my life. The day I found out you were pregnant has got to be the first time I cried in a long time," he chuckled and so did my mom as I heard a little sob coming from her.

Ed rubbed my arm as happy tears run down my face because of Ethan's speech.

"I want to spend the rest of my life with you," Ethan said and got down on one knee, making everyone scream, squeal, aww and also cry.

"Melissa Carver, will you marry me?"

There was a ten second silence that felt like an hour before my mom finally nodded her head and said yes. Ethan slipped the ring on my moms finger and everyone cheered, including Ed & I, obviously.

Eli, Evan, Margarete & Peter were brought on stage and hugged me before my mom turned around and motioned me to come towards them.

They both engulfed me in a hug and I whispered that I loved them which they returned.

Everyone congratulated them and Ed Sheeran took a family picture of us with the word 'Congratulations' on the huge screen behind us.

Everyone got off stage and I sang one more song before I finished me set and got backstage as well where everyone celebrated the engagement.

I posted the picture Ed made of us on Instagram and people congratulated my mom & Ethan in the comments. I liked a lot of comments and spend the rest of the night with my family.

My mother was due in a little more than a month so it was a really exciting time for everyone. I can't wait for my mom and Ethan to get married and I certainly cannot wait for my baby brothers and sister to be born.

I already know that I'm going to spoil with so much with presents and everything. I'm going to try and be the best sister there is no matter what.

Oh and by the way my family loved the tattoo!

My mom is the happiest she's ever been and I would do anything in my power to let it stay that way and I'm sure Ethan would do the same. He cares so much about her and does anything for her so I couldn't be happier that my mom found him.

I hate that I have no time to write. Literally none existing. I'm trying to make it work though 🤷🏼‍♀️

Oh and I just saw Kylie's really pregnant! Or was. She had the baby on Harry's Birthday lmao. I knewwww it 😂
