His words hit me, I could understand it clear as day. The dancing, the kiss, and the small talk meant nothing if isn't for the understanding we shared. I knew this love was real, and he did too.
I clutched his hand and gazed into his light brown eyes, pondering our forever.
Consequently, I heard the muffled sounds of the announcer in the gym a few rooms down.
"Shawn. I am so sorry." I say to him, pulling my feet out of the water, and kissing his cheek. "Wait, what?" He asks.
