"Christmas Eve and we're still in New York," Joanna sighed. "We'll be home soon. Our plane will land at around three in the morning and Ethan will pick us up and bring you home."

We boarded the plane not much later and Joanna fell asleep while I was working on a new song that kind of was stuck in my mind. For three hours straight I scribbled stuff down, crossed it out and crumbled some papers.

I woke Joanna up as the plane landed and we waited for our luggage. I texted Ethan that we landed and he told me he was already waiting outside.

I quickly texted Shawn, Harry & Landre that I landed safely before I saw Ethan waiting by his car with a smile on his face as he saw us.

"Hey," he said as I gave him a quick hug so we could go home quicker. We loaded our luggage in the trunk before we drove off so we could finally get home.

"So how was New York City?" Ethan asked and turned the radio down a little so he could hear us better. "It was really cool actually, I love New York," I said.

"Yea, it was awesome but I almost thought we wouldn't make it home in time for Christmas," Joanna admitted and I nodded in agreement. "Well, I'm glad you are. We have a great present for you Mila," he smiled widely.

"Ugh, don't tease me," I rolled my eyes and he chuckled, continuing to smile at the street.

I shrugged and not long after that we arrived at Joanna's house I hugged her and wished her a merry Christmas before I got in the passenger seat and turned the volume of the radio on.

"Your mother is asleep just let her rest, alright?" Ethan said as he unlocked the door. I nodded understanding because it was almost four in the morning and I was really exhausted anyways so I couldn't be more happy to finally get some much needed sleep in my bed.

I quickly changed and cuddled under the covers thinking of anything and everything until I finally fell into a deep sleep.

-

I woke up the next morning by noises coming from downstairs. I looked at my phone and saw that it was half past nine in the morning. I groaned, not wanting to get up but just then I remembered that is was Christmas.

I slowly dragged myself out of bed and grabbed the bag with presents I had for my family. I quickly threw my hair in a bun, brushed my teeth and washed my face before walking downstairs.

I saw Ethan & my mother sitting at the counter and I walked quickly to my mother and pulled her into an embrace from behind.

"Merry Christmas, darling and welcome home," she said right when Ethan put a plate with pancakes in front of where my mother sat. I sat down in front of them and wished both of them a merry Christmas.

"So, what are today's plans?" I asked as I shove a piece of pancake in my mouth.

"Kate, Elias, Ted, Asher & Milo and Ethan's family is coming over in a few minutes," my mother said and played with Ethan's fingers as if she was nervous. Instead of worrying about anything I shrugged it off and finished breakfast in no time.

My mother opened her mouth to say something but the door bell cut her off. I jumped up and quickly ran to open the door before throwing myself at Kate. The boys hugged each of my legs and Ted & Elias embraced us all together.

"Merry Christmas!" we all wished each other before getting inside.

I picked Milo up and sat down on the couch with Asher right beside me. "She took the news really well, I see," I heard Kate saying, happily.

"Kate," my mother hissed and locked eyes with me from afar.

"Oh," was all I heard from Kate as she also turned around to look at me.
