Keep Fighting ~ Hogwarts

Heyo this is also for my friend lol it's a surprise. But yeah shes trying to help me keep this account (I'll explain later) so I figured I'd write something. I'm also in the mood to write something Harry Potter related lmao. ~M

Quick note: this starts out in third person as the sorting in the first year and I'll list the friend group, but otherwise, it's mostly just first person and 5th year or higher. This is also my first attempt at a Harry Potter "story" so bare with me please.

The two eleven year olds had been positively thrilled to get their letters as they had been hyped up their entire lives for their eleventh birthday. There was just one major, but not problematic, difference between the girls; one was pure blood and one was half blood. They couldn't understand why that difference bothered everyone so much, but they continued to be friends despite that.

Upon seeing the letter in the mail, both families celebrated and helped their children get ready for Hogwarts, where they would be going in less than two weeks.

"Now, Jade, are you sure you have everything you need?" The second girl's mother asked as they got into their car and went to the train station. "Yes Mum," she replied in an annoyed tone as this was the twentieth time she'd been asked that today alone. "Watch your attitude, young lady," her mother warned, and Jade knew she was close to having the full name called.

"Whatever," she muttered, despite the fact that her mother was already irritated. "Morgan Jade, what did I say about that attitude?"

"I'm sorry Mum, I don't know what you want me to do. You've been nagging me for the last two weeks, please just stop it, alright?!" The girl shouts and her mum keeps quiet and she feels guilty.

The rest of the ride was silent but when they got there, the train station was anything but. "Alright little B, are you ready?" Her dad asked and the girl bit her lip but nodded in excitement.

Yes she was nervous, but she knew her best friend would be there too. "Do you want to wait for Katelin?" Her dad asked and she nodded, scanning the crowd. "BOO!" Someone shouted as they sneaked up on the girl. Jade turned and there stood Katelin, a smirk on her face as she knew she had scared Jade. "Sorry," she apologised sheepishly, "I couldn't help it." 

"Miss Black, are you ready to go?"  Jade's Mum asked, helping her with her trunk and the owl, Minnie. After explaining how platform 9 3/4 works, Katelin's parents ran through to show them the easiest way to go. "C'mon Jena, lets show them how it works," Jade's father says, smirking. "Sirius, have you lost your mind?" Jena replies, smiling sheepishly as he pouts slightly.

"Come on kids, or you'll miss the train," Sirius tells them, gently nudging them forward. "Well, it's now or never,"  Katelin says and Jade nods in reluctant agreement. "One, two, THREE!" They race each other in and not long after, Jena and Sirius have joined them.

The first thing Jade sees is a lightning shaped scar and she freezes. "Dad, is that Harry Potter?" Sirius stops dead in his tracks and sighs. "Bloody hell he's almost exactly like Prongs," he whispered, but ushered the kids forward.

Katelin's parents were caught up talking to the Malfoys, arguing about something. The small boy standing next to them rolled his eyes and walked away, heading towards the girls and Sirius and Jena Black.

"Malfoy," Sirius muttered under his breath so that no one could hear. The boy smirked the Malfoy smirk and began introducing himself. "Hello ladies, I'm Draco Malfoy," he stated, holding out his hand for them to shake. The girls looked at each other then at him. "Oh, hello. I'm Katelin and this is Jade," Katelin tells him and Draco nods then turns to the Blacks. He sneers and turns to the girls. "You, you're obviously their child," he says as he looks at Jade with absolute disgust.
