Abbie's p.o.v.
I stood at the side of the stage watching my best friends perform. Before I go any further, I just wanna say, hi, I'm Abigail but if you call me that, I'll kill you. Haha, anyway, call me Abbie.

My friends that I'm watching just happen to be a new band, My Chemical Romance. You may have heard of them by now, but they've only been a band for a year now so . . . maybe not. They literally just found another guitarist so probably not.

Ok, I promise I'm not insane. Frank is the newest addition to the band and he's really awesome. There's Mikey, who I have a huge crush on, his brother Gerard, and Ray. They finished up with their gig and headed down to the bar. I sat off on the 'sidelines' watching some of the other new bands playing.

I was so lost in my thoughts that when someone came up behind me, it scared the shit out of me. I turned, expecting to see a fan or something, but it was Mikey. "Hey Abbie," he called as he walked over with Gerard and Frank.

"Mikey, Gerard, Frank . . . err, where's Ray?" Frank shrugged, "Who knows anymore?" I nodded in agreement, "Fair point. Anyway, what's up?" Gerard smirked and rolled his eyes sassily when Mikey was dead silent. "Courage the cowardly dog wanted to ask you out but he turned into a chicken butt at the last second."

I laughed before I shrugged and said, "Sure, why not?" Gerard and Frank left to go find Ray, leaving me and Mikey alone.

"Sorry about that, I just . . . froze, I guess." I shrugged, smiling, "Don't worry about it Mikey. I would've said yes anyway. Wanna go outside and get some air?" He nodded and followed me outside onto the 'porch' of the 'venue.'

"Hey Abbie, you ready yet?" My brother, Parker, called from downstairs. I groaned, "Yes, just shut up geez!" He laughed and said, "Never, I'm your brother." I rolled my eyes as I stepped out, "Don't remind me."

It was a casual thing, so I wore a Metallica shirt with black jeans and high tops. I don't really do dresses or skirts so . . . yeah. When I turned the corner, I seen Mikey sitting with Parker and his face was red. I groaned, "Geez Parker, what did you tell him?!"

He smirked, "Nooothing," he said in a singsong voice. I rolled my eyes again and asked, "Ready Mikey?" Dumb question, I know. But it's a first date, it's gonna be awkward. He nodded and we said goodbye to Parker the moron before going out to the car.

The first half of the ride was silent, until I decided to break the awkward silence. "So . . . where are we going?" My voice was surprisingly loud after the extreme silence. "Uhhhh, that's a secret," he responded, turning to smirk at me. I felt my face heat up and I looked away, trying to hide it. I felt butterflies in my stomach, and I really wished they would go away before I choked on them or something.

"Alright, I'll tell you this much, it isn't a restaurant." I sighed in relief, "Thank gosh. Sorry but anxiety and restaurants don't work out well." He smiled, which is a rare thing, "I know, I'm the same way."

When we finally got there, I realized that we were at the movies. "You said you wanted to see Finding Nemo (this was suggested by my mom don't ask 😂😂) right?" I nodded, "Yep, that's the one." I know I know, I might be 21, but I'm still a big kid. So leave me alone 😋.

~skipping the movie, sorry~

We walked out of the movie theater hand in hand. "Best. Movie. Ever." I said, skipping across the parking lot, leaving Mikey to follow behind half running, half jogging to keep up.

"Abbie, either stop skipping or just in general, I can't keep up," Mikey managed to say in between laughter. I shrugged and said, "Ok," before stopping right in front of him. He ran into me and almost knocked me into the car next to his. "Careful," I warned playfully, teasing him because it was actually my fault.

"Whatever," he mumbled and I hugged him. "Sorry Mikey," I said before going to get in the car. His face was still a little pink, but I didn't care. Mine was probably tomato red. The ride home was less awkward and had more conversation than the last one.

But when I seen the driveway being illuminated by the headlights, my stomach dropped. When he stopped the car, he smiled at me before hugging me across the seat. "Don't worry, there will be a second date, unless you don't want to." I smiled and thanked him for everything tonight before I returned to my moronic brother, I really love him though, and my bedroom.
