I hugged myself, silently cursing under my breath for forgetting my jacket. I seen an alleyway and I quickly turned around only to run into someone. I screamed and flailed trying to stop the fall, but I couldn't.

Mystery person did, though. He caught me easily as if I weighed nothing. "Careful there," he spoke, his voice low and smooth. I blinked and looked up at him. He was smiling warmly and his eyes went wide when he saw my face. "Y/N?" He asked in disbelief. I was still in a daze when I answered. "How do you know my name?"

"You don't remember me? I'm Jinxx," he said, helping me stand up again. I thought over the name for a minute and my eyes widened. "Oh my cheeseballs, Jinxx!!" I tackled him in a hug and he sighed. "I missed you."

"I missed you too."

~3 months later~

Jinxx and I have been dating for the past two months and now I finally get to come over. He's got a secret, an unusual secret. He doesn't want to tell me though. Maybe I'll confront him about it tonight.

He picked me up from my house. "Ready Y/N?" He asked, grinning happily. "Yeah," I said, returning the smile and locking my door behind me.

When we got there, he told me to sit on the couch. I frowned and was about to ask the question when he said he had a gift for me. Only then did I remember that it was my birthday. Oops. "Thanks but can I ask you something first?" I rushed and he nodded. "What's your secret?" I blurted and his eyes darkened.

"I don't know what you're talking about," he said coldly. We argued until he finally shouted, "YOU REALLY WANNA KNOW?!"

"YES I REALLY WANNA KNOW!!" I yelled back.

He stepped closer and grabbed my shoulders. He leaned down and I felt a piercing pain in my neck. I tried to push him off, but he wouldn't budge. Soon, I got very lightheaded and the blackness won me over.

"Ah shit, I'm such an idiot! Oh fuck, what if she's dead?" I could clearly hear Jinxx talking. His voice sounded clearer, like he had cleared his throat or something.

I moved something and I heard him gasp. "Y/N? Can you hear me?" I opened my eyes and my eyes instantly focused. "Yeah..." I breathed then looked at my pale skin, my clear blue eyes, my auburn hair. It all looked . . . different.

"What happened to me?" I asked, turning to look at him. He sighed. "Well, last night you demanded to know what my secret was . . . now you're living the secret. Y/N, we can literally be together forever." I got what he was hinting at and I gasped. "We're vampires?!" I exclaimed and he nodded, smiling. "Oh my cheeseballs this is amazing!!"

He laughed, "I knew you'd love it. It suits you well. Come on, let's go meet the others."
