Morgan
I sighed loudly when I hear someone knocking on my bedroom door. "Go away!" The door opened anyway and I rolled onto my side quickly. "I thought I told you to-- oh! Hey Dan!"

He laughs and says in his beautiful British accent, "Hey Morgan. Don't worry I'm not your mum." He rolled his eyes at the last part but smiled as he walked over and sat next to me. I can feel my face grow slightly warmer, but I ignore it.

"I'm glad you're not my mum... Did she give you any trouble about coming in here?" He shook his head and smiled a little, and I felt a small smile beginning on my face when it reached his dark brown eyes. "Ah, see, you're smiling! And it's my favourite one, too." I blushed again, "Stop it, Dan!" He laughed and hugged me to him.

He's my best friend, has been for years. He introduced me to Phil and the three of us have been friends since. But I think I'm starting to get feelings for Dan. Every time he spoke, I felt a fluttering in my stomach. Butterflies, some would say.

I always get really nervous around him too. He knew my mum wasn't actually my mum, but he went along with the charade. "Morgan?" He asked softly, bringing me back to reality. "Hmm?"

"You kinda spaced out . . . are you alright?" I nodded quickly, "Oh uh . . . yeah I'm fine." He seemed doubtful, but he accepted it for now. I guess he had noticed that my health was beginning to decline. Just as I thought that, I seen black and blue spots taking over my vision and a loud buzzing in my ears. I hardly heard Dan asking me if I was ok.

I felt like I was falling, but I was siting down. Then it was pitch black and I was seriously confused before my brain shut down.

I woke up to a very bright light and it killed my head. "Ugh," I groaned as I looked around the bland white room. Someone shuffled to the right of me and I turned to look at them. "Dan?" His eyes snapped open, "Oh my God... Morgan!"

I raise one of my hands, cringing when I seen the IV. Ewww. Dan chuckled quietly, "Same . . . do you know what happened?" I shook my head, trying to remember.

He sighed, "Well . . . you passed out. We were just talking then your eyes unfocused and you fell backwards off the bed. Thankfully, I caught you." I nodded, remembering the buzzing sound and the hollow feeling.

"Thanks for saving me," I said jokingly. But he was dead serious. "No problem. I . . . I don't know where I'd be without you." I felt myself blushing and I said, "That's what I'm supposed to say about you, though." He laughed, "Actually, Morgan, that's what everyone who loves each other, friendly way of course, say."

I felt like someone had stabbed me. My crush basically just friend zoned me. Ugh. "So uh . . . when do I leave this hell hole?" He laughed again, "They said as soon as you wake up. And I know how your mum has been bugging you . . . so, you're moving in with me!"

I felt my heart drop but I faked a smile and enthusiasm. "Great! Thanks for getting me out of there." He smiled, "Anytime."

It's been weeks since the friend zone incident and me, Dan and Phil had been hanging out. "Hey Morgan," Phil says, peeking his head in my room. "Yeah?" I question, looking up from my book. "Dan and I are going out to get groceries, we'll be back in a couple hours."

"Ok. Be careful." This is perfect, I thought as I heard the door close. Once I was sure the coast was clear, I went into the bathroom connected to my room. I closed both doors and locked them.
