Your mind was is dazed as you stare at the old pet shop infront of you. Your mind still lingering with the thoughts of your boyfriend breaking up with you. How he was ontop of your very own best friend felt like stabbing you for the nth time.

With a loud sighed you entered the antique shop taking in what your other found friend told you. You've been fiddling with your fingers, debating if you should really buy a pet or not.

"Do I really need a pet just to get over him?" You mumbled to yourself as you stare at various cages of dogs, cats, birds, hamsters and many more.

Just as you're about to exit the shop when you finally decided to not take another responsibility, an old lady tapped at your shoulder. "Yes dear, how may I help you?"

Her long white hair and long pointed nose freaked you out making you flinch. "I— uh, I— I wanted to g-get a pet?"

You said, unsure of what you've asked for.

The lady blinked her eyes at you as if she was suspecting you. She shrugged anyways, "May I ask why you're looking for a pet? You don't seem pleased by just looking at the animals."

You groaned, yes you really didn't like obligations and more responsibilities. . . But if having a pet would take your mind away from your ex boyfriend and ex best friend then YOU DO NEED A DISTRACTION which is a new companion, friend a.k.a pet according to one of your friends.

You nodded you head at the old lady as you told her the reason, "I need distraction. A new friend. I need a pet because I feel alone and betrayed. Atleast I need someone who will be there for me and will love me. Who will give me the love that my ex and best friend didn't sincerely gave me."

The old lady giggled at your answer, "then it's not a pet that you need. It's a new lover."

You shook your head, "N—No! I don't feel like trusting any man as of the moment."

The lady nodded as a sly smile formed her lips, "I just think I've found a perfect pet for you."

"Really? What. . . What pet would be good for me?" You asked, curious and almost excited.

The lady gestured, "Come, come. . . Follow me."

You followed her to the deepest part of the shop, she took you to one corner where no pets are displayed anymore. Where only one cage could be seen. A place which looked empty and sad.

Your brows furrowed looking at the rusted cage with a golden-brown furball animal which you can't recognized yet was laying and having it's back faced to you.

"Kookie~!" The old lady cooed. The fluffy animal immediately turned its head to face you and the old lady. It's ears stood up and moved to side as if it's trying to decipher the sound of his name.

It's a golden-brown cute little bunny.

"Kookie, someone wants to meet you." The old lady said.

You stared at the said bunny in awe, it was looking at you straight in the eye. His doe big eyes seemed amaze by your presence. It was sparkling and its sad from awhile ago turned into a cute bouncy bunny as if it's trying to impress you.

"He looks happy." The lady said.

"I'm taking him." You said without any hesitation. Unexpectedly, this creature made you happy by just exchanging eye contact with him. His eyes seemed loving. Those eyes that your ex didn't show you.

The old lady smiled and took the bunny out of his cage. She gave him to you and you carried him into your arms. The bunny's eyes never leaving your face.
