Niall's POV
I look at the notes in her phone. I opened the one that said who to inform if I die. There were only a few people on there. I was the first person on her list. That hit me really hard. I didn't even know this girl but she thought I'd care if she passed. And she's right. I hate seeing our Directioners no they're more than that they're family. I hate seeing my family upset or hurting. I just want to take her pain away. I read the rest of the list. There's the rest of the boys and four names Johnny, Clayton, Dallas and Aaron. So I open her contacts to find these four people. I ponder whether I should text or call them. They are obviously very important to her if their names are in list. First I call her friend Johnny. He picks up.
John: Hey! Babe how are you?
Niall: Is this Johnny?
John: Yes! Who's this? Where's y/n?
Niall: This is Niall Horan from One Direction.
John: No way! Did y/n finally get to meet you?
Niall: Well not exactly. You see John y/n has been in a serious car accident. She's in surgery right now. You were one of her emergency contacts!
John: An accident? What happened?
Niall: She ran her car into a bridge. In her pocket she had a suicide note.
John: No.... she should have called me. *cries* The one time she needed me the most I wasn't there for her. She always said she'd be a statistic.
Niall: She's dealt with this before?
John: Yes. Quite a few times.
Niall: oh. The doctors haven't told us everything. But I'll let you know when I know more.
John: Thank you so much Niall. Will you be staying with her? I know it'd mean the world to her if she woke up to you.
Niall: Yes we plan on waiting for her.
John: Thank you. When you know more please let me know. I'll try to get a flight out soon. And I'll tell Clayton.
Niall: Thank you John. Clayton was another person she had on her list. I'll call you as soon as I know more.
John: thank you. Goodbye.
Niall: bye
I'm about to call Dallas when I hear Code blue emergency surgery room 4 called over the intercom and a team of doctors and nurses rush past me. What the heck is a code blue. I decide to look it up on my phone. Code blue means a patient has stopped breathing or their heart has stopped. I start to panic a bit as I know that y/n is in surgery in one of those rooms. After about five minutes I hear code clear. Which means that the emergency is over. I breath a tiny bit but then it hits me. What If it's clear because the patient has passed away. Now I'm full on panicking. I see one of the doctors that had rushed past come down the hall. I get up and walk over to him and ask if he'd been in the room with y/n. He asked who I was. Since I knew they wouldn't tell me anything if I wasn't related or in a relationship with her I lied.
"I'm her fiancé." I say.
Doctor: yes it was her room
Niall: can you tell me is she okay?
Doctor: she's not out of the woods yet but she's still alive. That's all I can tell you.
Niall: thank you doctor.
The doctor leaves.
I decide that I'll call Dallas maybe he can help me feel better.
Dallas: hey y/n/n! How are you?
Niall: Is this Dallas?
Dallas: Yes...... where's Y/n
Niall: That's why I'm calling you. My name is Niall Horan. Y/n has been in a car accident.
Dallas: What? No.... is she okay?
Niall: she's back in the operating room. They called a code blue recently. I asked the doctor and they said that she's alive but that's all he can tell me.
Dallas: y/n is a fighter. I know she'll pull through! But I can understand your fear. Do you know what happened?
Niall: *cries* I found a suicide note in her pocket. I think she tried to kill herself. She ran her car into a wall.
Dallas: oh y/n! Why didn't she call me? She knows I'm always there for her. *cries* where are you guys? I want to be with her.
Niall: We are at H/n in Colorado.
Dallas: I'll be there in a few days! Please take my number and keep me up to date on what's happening. I'll be praying.
Niall: Of course! I'll let you know when I know anything.
I hung up with dallas.
I look at the next name Aaron. It says to message him on Facebook. So I go into her messages and I type out a quick message.
Niall: Hello Aaron. My name is Niall Horan. I'm writing you because your friend y/n put in a list to inform you if anything happened to her. Y/n was in an accident today. In her pocket I found a suicide note. She's in the hospital right now in the operating room. I do not know much more but I'll let you know when I know more.
I send the message and hope that he receives it and isn't too upset. Even though this is a very upsetting situation. I sit back with the boys and we talk about the up coming tour. We're all really excited about performing new songs. After about an hour a doctor comes out and approaches us.
Doctor: Mr. Horan we've finished the surgery and she's in recovery right now. Miss. Y/l/n has a fractured leg and she took quite a blow to the head. We will not know the extent of how bad the injury is until she wakes up. Also we've had to give her a blood transfusion as she had quite the cut on her arm from the glass we pulled out. Do you have any questions?
Niall: When will she wake up?
Doctor: We are hoping in a few hours but she has to decide that on her own. We will be moving her shortly to a room. She'll be in room 993 in ICU. I'll let you know if anything changes.
Niall: thank you doctor.
The doctor responds and then leaves. The boys and I look at each other and I can tell they are with me on staying at least for awhile. As long as she needs us. Her phone buzzes and I look down and see that There's a message from aaron. It says......
I hope you like this part! I'll update as soon as I can. It's been a crazy few months! My younger brother and best friend just got engaged and it's honestly kind of upsetting to me. My life plans had been that I would have been married with kids by now. But that's not the case. My younger brother is 7 years younger so it kind of makes me sad. Oh well I have Dylan my Reborn. And he'll be getting two sister in the next few weeks! I'm super excited!!! 😁 anyway have a good day. Message me if you need to talk! Remember suicide is NEVER the answer!
