Today I woke up and went to work just like every other day. When I got to my job I noticed that the new doughnut shop was open. So I decided that on my lunch break I would get a doughnut for lunch. Not super healthy but at least it was something to eat. I finished my 8 hour shift excited to get home and get off my feet. Today I ran around all day at work and by now my feet were super sore. I clocked out and walked to my car. It was very cold and windy with a bit of snow. So I was careful thinking that there could be ice on the roads. I didn't have too far to go so I wasn't too worried about getting home and since it was past 11:30pm there weren't many people on the road. I turned on my ipod and cranked up the music as I drove. I turned onto the the highway and started driving noticing a few patches of ice but nothing too bad. or so I thought. After a few minutes I settled into driving and relaxed. Next thing I know I see lights that seemed to be a little too bright coming in my direction. I swerved to avoid the car but my car hit a patch of ice and I flew into the guard rail. My car hit and spun around the air bag deploying. After that things are very spotty. I put my hand to my head feeling the warmth ooze down my cheek. It was blood. I tried to lift my other arm but it was too painful and thats when I realized I was trapped. I started to panic then I passed out.
Nialls POV
I was driving down the highway on my way to see Louis. I see a car up ahead that look like there is still someone in it yet its been in a horrible wreck. I pull over and see theres a pretty girl in the front seat. Her face is bloodied and she seems to be passed out. I gently tap her shoulder to see if she'll wake up. "Hello love. Are you okay?" "Come on love you need to wake up." I pull out my phone and call the emergency number explaining what I have observed and where I am. They say they are on their way. I take off my shirt and hold it to the cut on her forehead attempting to stop the bleeding. I talk to her even though she's unconscious. "Love I'm Niall. I'd really love if you could open your eyes for me. Can you do that?" If anyone was around they would probably think that I was crazy talking to someone who can't hear me. But I still talk to her. Finally I hear sirens and the ambulance pulls up. The paramedics rush into action working to get her out. After they've pulled her out and put her on a stretcher they ask me if I'm coming with them. Thats when I realize I don't actually know this girl. But I can't leave her alone so I lock my car and jump into the ambulance. On the way to the hospital they check her out to see what is wrong and they ask me about what happened. I tell them what little bit I know. They hand me her cellphone so I put it in my pocket thinking maybe I can find a little bit more about her later. We pull up to the hospital and they unload her and rush her inside. The emergency room doctor checks her out and sends her for X-rays and a CT scan. They send me to the waiting room while this happens. As I'm sitting there I make a quick call to Louis telling him I wont be able to make it tonight and that I'll need someone to bring me my car. As I left it at the scene of the accident. Louis says he and Liam will bring it by in a few hours. The doctor comes out and asks for me he tells me that they have to do surgery so it will be a few hours before you can have any visitors if I want to wait. I say that I will and he rushes off to prep. I pull out her phone and decide to find out a little about this mystery girl. Especially her name. I laugh a little as I see her lock screen is a picture of me. Thats cool she's a Directioner. I open up her twitter hoping that maybe I can learn something about her there. I see her name is y/n. I look though her tweets and I realize I've seen her tweets before. Her picture looks really familiar. Thats when it hits me that I've spoken with y/n before through direct messages on twitter. I keep going through her phone in an effort to get to know here better and kill time. Eventually Louis and Liam show up with my car and they sit with me while I explain to them everything. We sit for a few hours talking and I start to get anxious as we haven't heard anything about her condition. Finally a doctor comes out and calls my name. We stand up and the doctor comes over.
