Niall POV
Y/n looked down at her cast and she giggled!
Y/n: if found return to Niall Horan. You're so funny Niall. Thank you for coming to meet me. I'm the luckiest girl in the world! Now I'm sure you have to get back to touring or the studio. Would you thank the boys for me? Thank you for meeting an injured fan!
Niall: you don't understand. We've become friends. You're not just an injured fan! I'm not here for some PR stunt. I'm here for you! Please y/n you have to remember.
Y/n: I'm...... I'm sorry.... I don't remember.
Niall: I'll help you remember.
Your POV
I don't understand why Niall is saying that he knows me. There is no way I'd forget meeting and getting to know him. Ugh I'm must be doing something wrong.
Niall POV
I look at y/n and notice she seems really upset. I can tell she's trying to figure things out. But then I notice she's rubbing her wrist. I guess that's the way she soothes herself.
Niall: I'm going to use the bathroom but I'll send the lads in.
Y/n: umm okay.
She seems very distracted.
I tell the boys to come in and sit with her. Just watch and make sure she doesn't try to get out of bed. Even with the casts I don't trust her.
I leave to use the restroom.
I come back a few minutes later and I notice that Louis is holding y/n's arm and he's looking at it. As I walk over I notice how red and raw it looks.
Niall: y/n what happened? What did you do?
Y/n: I can't figure this out! I.... I can't remember. I.... didn't mean to rub it that hard. I just..... it's making me so frustrated.
I told the boys I'd be right back. I walk to the nurses station and ask them if they can bandage y/n's wrist and if I could speak to a doctor. They called the doctor and hurried into y/n's room to bandage her wrist.
Doctor: hello Mr. Horan what can I do for you?
Niall: doctor is there anything we can do to help y/n remember? She's getting really upset and she rubbed her wrist raw.
Doctor: maybe bring some things that might remind her of you. For now I'll give her a mild sedative so that she can sleep for a bit.
Niall: thank you doctor.
I followed the doctor back into the room.
Doctor: Miss. y/l/n I'm going to give you a mild sedative so that you can sleep for a bit. This is obviously stressing you out. So we're going to help you relax.
With that the doctor administered some medication though her IV.
Before she fell asleep she said
Y/n: please don't leave me. I'm scared to wake up and be alone.
Then she fell asleep.
Niall: lads I need your help. Since I'm not going to leave I need you to grab a few items from the house. If I need to help jog her memory.
Liam: ok Niall. What do you need?
Niall: can you bring my guitar? Her blanket, toy story, and the giraffe I gave her before she left the hospital.
Liam: sounds good. We'll be back in an hour or so.
The boys left and I was left alone to figure out what to do. As I sat there thinking I decided to order some roses because I knew y/n liked roses. I decided to get a few dozen.
*an hour later*
The boys show up with everything I'd asked them for. I set her blanket and the giraffe aside. I took my guitar out and started playing little things. I knew it was her favorite song. She started to wake up!
Y/n: it really wasn't a dream! You're still here!
Niall: yes love we are and we're going to help you remember.
Louis helps her sit up and I start singing again. She smiles.
I give her her blanket and she cuddles up with it but still nothing.
Niall: Let's watch a movie! Do you mind if I lay in bed with you?
She turns bright red like a tomato. But says I can. I lay down with her and Liam puts Toy Story in. I hope this will jog her memory because we watched Toy Story the night before she ended up back here. After watching for half an hour I grabbed the giraffe that I gave y/n. I handed it to her. She looked at it and thanked me. She cuddled up to it and me. I was completely discouraged. How can I make her remember? A few more minutes passed. Suddenly y/n sat up fast cringing a bit.
Niall: y/n are you okay? You need to lay back! You're going to hurt yourself.
I pulled her back to my chest. She turned into me and started crying.
Niall: love what's wrong? Please tell me. Should I get a doctor? Are you hurt? Liam go get the doctor.
Y/n: No!!! I'm okay! It's just that I remember! I remember everything! I'm so sorry I forgot! And I'm sorry I didn't try to get anyone's help. Wait where's Gemma? Is she mad at me? I'm a horrible person! I've upset her. I didn't mean to......
Niall: y/n! Stop. Gemma is okay. She's a little upset but that's because she cares about you. Please stop beating yourself up. Everything is going to be okay. We have a surprise for you when you come back home with us. But you have to promise me one thing!
Y/n: what's that?
Niall: promise you'll ask for help and not get hurt again!
Y/n: I promise! Or I'll at least try to.
Niall: thank you! The doctor says that they'll keep you overnight and tomorrow we go home. I can't wait to show you the surprise.
We cuddle up and y/n falls asleep. She has a smile on her face and is holding the giraffe tightly.
