Hello everyone! My name is Marianne, but you can call me Manon. I would totally start this off with the "copyright and rules" sort of thing, but I can't be bothered.
Let me restart. Throne of Glass and A Court of Thorns and Roses are my two most favourite books in the world. Everything about them, from the covers to the characters to the plot and even to the grammar and vocabulary...is perfect. I repeat. Perfect. Absolutely perfect.
This update was written in November 2017, if you are reading this in the future where future books have been released. I have currently read all the books in the A Court of Thorns and Roses trilogy, and all the published books in the Throne of Glass series, including the Assassin's Blade with its four novellas.
If you have not finished the whole series, I don't recommend reading this whole thing. There will be spoilers. Yes. Many, many spoilers, and if you spoil it for yourself, don't you dare take the blame on me.
Sarah J. Maas, you have changed my whole LIFE.
Before I read her books, I was 11-12 years old, a carefree almost-teenager. My main fandom had been the Deltora Quest anime series, which I still freaking LOVE, not only because of the awesome plot but because my first two fictional crushes were from that anime.
Wait, you are NOT supposed to know any of my private fictional crush life!
I discovered Throne of Glass at my library. I picked it up and was like, "Hey, this looks interesting." I turned to the back to read the summary—it looked definitely like high dark fantasy. Celaena Sardothien. What an interesting creative name.
I finished the book in days. Throne of Glass got me hooked. It turned out my library also had Crown of Midnight and Heir of Fire. I grew to love Celaena with every chapter—knowing she isn't a completely ruthless killer, and that she would spare anyone, but loved to kill wrongdoers to protect the innocent. Well, that's me!
Queen of Shadows. I won't describe exactly everything I think of it in the first chapter, but Queen of Shadows was perfection. Knowing Celaena is really Aelin Ashryver Galathynius, and meeting so many new characters-Aedion and Lysandra and Evangeline and Manon!
I will continue talking and rambling in more updates.
Leave your comments! I need someone to fangirl and discuss things with, so I will listen to your ideas and if they're truly interesting, I'll put them in an update!
~Manon Megurine
