"It worked!" Poe told me happily. "Hux fell for it. He went to Endor and got ambushed by our attack group." He grinned.

"That's good. So the weapons transfer will happen on Centax-2, one of Coruscant's abandoned moons." I looked at him. "I should probably get going now."

"Good idea. Thanks for taking on this mission, Ben. It's good having someone like you on the team." He paused, sensing my feelings. He could tell that what he had said had effected me. "I believe in redemption, Ben. I can't forget that you killed our leaders, but I can't forget that you died and came back to life and gave up everything just to make things right. I think you've done enough." He grasped my hand quickly and tightly. "Good luck. Don't let the emperor catch you. Apparently he takes it personally that you're not dead."

"I'd take it personally too. He was probably hoping he'd get all of the divorce settlements." I winked at him. I liked Poe. He was funny, cocky, smart, and surprisingly thoughtful. He had been suspicious of me at first, but we had become good friends in the past few months.

I walked away from Poe and into the hangar. I found the freighter I was taking to pick up the weapons.

"Hey, Ben." Poe had followed me. "Don't die." He looked at me seriously, more so than I had ever seen.

"I won't." I smiled at him, then I got into my ship and ascended and flew out of the hangar and into the stars.

Before I hit hyperspace, I commed the pilot I was meeting. "Rey, are we a go?"

Rey was a genius. Poe had met her at some point on the planet Jakku while he had been searching for some classified information. He had picked her up and brought her to the Resistance when he had found out what a great pilot she was. He had never told me how he had talked her into leaving the planet, but I knew enough to know not to pry.

At the moment, she was our main smuggler and information gatherer, something she enjoyed. She got to fly around the Galaxy and see new things.

"Yep. I just got our shipment. These things are nice. New Verpine rifles and a nifty type of detonator. There's other stuff too, but I gotta go. I only have a few minutes before someone realizes that I'm here and reports me. Meet you at Centax-2, bet I'll beat you there." I could tell she was smiling.

"Not on your life." I retorted. "See you there."

"Good luck." She cut off the connection and I made the jump to hyperspace. It would be an almost twenty four hour flight, so I went in back to nap. I missed meditating. It was nice to be able to connect to the Force and get visions and foresight, but at the same time, I found myself enjoying my new life as one of the Resistance's top pilots.

I had found a new hope for my life, and I knew that my ancestors would respect it. It was what they had always wanted. My only regret now was that I had not done it sooner and saved myself, the Galaxy, and my family the grief I had caused them.

(Making up for the crap chapter last night. I'll publish again today)
