Six months after Starkiller Base was overcome by Hux and Ren

I learned first hand that running the First Order was harder than it seemed. Yet, I relished the challenge. The biggest problem was definitely managing our manpower. It was a stretch to make sure that everything was taken care of properly. All of the personnel needed to be housed, clothed, and fed, and they all looked to me for it.

By comparison, Kylo had a fairly simple job. He was tasked with rooting out anyone who was against us who was openly resisting. Some of the generals had openly dissented and had been ended by Kylo. There had been three or four assassination attempts as well. Thankfully, I was well protected. Kylo had made sure of that. He kept a squad of men around me at all times, including my right hand trooper FN-2187, a skilled and efficient stormtrooper.

Today was turning out to be an eventful day, however. Some spy reports had reached me with interesting news regarding the inner politics of the Resistance. After the fall of Luke's Jedi order, Han Solo had left the Resistance. His wife, General Leia Organa Solo, had remained. Rumor had it, however, that the two had reunited upon the eve of Skywalker's death,

"This can't be good." I murmured as I read the report. "Kylo should know."

"I should know what?" My handsome husband walked into the room, a small smile on his face. He had disdained wearing his mask, something I did not mind. He looked more human now, and he was much more kissable.

"Your parents have reunited. It seems like Skywalker's death was the catalyst." I crossed my arms. "You know them best. What's going on?"

"They're probably going to try to come for me. They will want to find me, try to get me to come back home." He sighed, looking annoyed. "I will refuse, should they find me."

"Word has it that they are both major rallying points in the Resistance. What do we do with them? They are of enough importance that an assassination would not be out of the question."

"I refuse." Kylo replied, not to my surprise, I had expected him to want to spare his parents. "They deserve a better death than that of a long distance sniper. I want this to be.... Personal." He smiled thinly. "I can try to set up a rendezvous. It'll be the perfect trap."

"Get to it it then, my love." I waved him out. "Tell me when you are ready,  when you have contacted them,  and what day it all goes down." I checked that off of my list.

"Of course." Kylo replied.

I hoped that the Resistance would die with Han and Leia. I hoped that my husband would be able to kill them. It would not be easy, I knew that. But it was necessary. If Han or Leia lived, we would never be able to establish a firm hold on the galaxy. Both Leia and Han were permanent fixtures of history now, and their lives were ones people would follow.

Dead, on the other hand, they would not be rallying points any more. The First Order would have made another step towards galactic rule.
