Kylo PoV
The next morning dawned brilliantly, casting golden rays across the lake and shooting through the windows of the house. The effect was stunning. I lay in bed, staring out the window at the lake where I was to be wed in a couple hours.
I turned to look to my still slumbering groom, sleeping quietly beside me. I smiled. I had finally found someone I loved with all of my being.
I gently nudged him awake. "Hux," I said,"it's morning. There're things we need to do before the wedding."
He yawned and turned over into his side, ignoring me intently. He was a deep sleeper and hated waking up.
"Hux..." I sighed, then I turned him over and laid my head on his stomach. His stomach was warm and flat. I could feel movement as I lay there, my arms around him. If I could just stay like this for the entire time I would be happy.
"I'm up, I'm up." He grunted and sat up and stared down at me with his gorgeous blue eyes. "That was enjoyable. We need to do that more often."
"Did you fake sleeping so I would lay on your stomach?" I asked, grinning.
"Maybe. But I'm ready to actually be useful now. When is the holy man supposed to arrive, Kylo?" He asked me as he rummaged for what he was going to wear.
"In two hours," I replied. I checked the schedule to be sure. "Don't worry about dressing too nice. It'll only be us. That's how if goes when you're a criminal on both side of the galaxy." I pulled on my favorite pair of slim, leather pants. I wore a scarlet shirt and a black vest over it.
Hux was a bit more formal in his full military uniform. The elegance he embodied made me even more happy that he was the one who I would he joined with. He was perfect. He was kind, honorable, intelligent, strong, and very attractive. And he was mine. It had started poorly, but it had ended well enough.
When the holy man arrived, both Hux and I were nervous, happy wrecks. The vows were short. We promised we would always love each other and that we would never be parted until death.
"I promise." We said in unison.
The holy man looked at us both and smiled."Best of your wishes. You are now one!" He yelled loudly, joining our hands.
I was a little more enthusiastic than what called for hand holding. I threw my arms around Hux and kissed him passionately.
"I love you. I love you, General Hux." I murmured these words into his shoulder as I held him close.
We could go on now. We knew that we had a permanent bond until the end. Nothing could stop us. We would leave tomorrow from our new ship to head to Dromund Kaas to end Snoke.
That was what would have to pass for a honeymoon, but I knew that in the end, it would be worth it. For us, for any adopted offspring, it would be best that we succeed in our goals. The possibilities were infinite and we wanted to be ready for anything. Now that we had the matter of our romantic state covered, we could focus on our end goal. We had one thing down, many more to go. And the first thing on the new list was "kill Supreme Leader Snoke".
