Chapter 10: The Cross Academy Ball

I was doing the final touches to my uniform while Ruki was doing his tie.             

    Ruki ended up spending the night in my dorm since he really didn't want to stay in the same room as Reiji. I know that Father is going to be mad at me when he finds out that I'm still having relations with Ruki. But it doesn't matter. I already made my decision. I'm going to be with Ruki, no matter what obstacles we may end up facing.

"Ready to go, Yumi?" Ruki asked.

"Yep! Ready to go!" I answered.

I then took his hand and we left the dorm only to see Reiji come out of he and Ruki's dorm at the same time.

"Good evening, Yumi. Ruki. I see that you two are together right now. Exactly what Father doesn't want. You know what Karlheinz is going to do, right Ruki?"

Ruki glared at him.

"Shut up, Reiji. I'm done hearing you and your other brothers' bullshit. We all have the right to be with the ones that we love. You're just a heartless bastard with no feelings. Let's go downstairs, Yumi." He stated as he took my hand and pulled me away from Reiji.

"You're going to regret this, Ruki..." I heard Reiji say as we walked away from him.

As we went down the stairs together, Ruki had his head down, as if he was thinking something. I looked curiously at his facial expression, and he then got out of his state of thinking and looked at me.

"You must really love staring at my face, don't you?" Ruki asked with a smirk.

"O-oh! It's nothing! It's just that you looked so deep in thought, I couldn't help but feel curious!" I stated nervously.

Oh great... Nice job stuttering, Yumi....

"Yeah, right. You're just looking at my beautiful face, aren't you...?" He asked seductively.

I did not answer and I just looked to the side with a slight blush on my face.

For some reason, his deep and calm voice always makes me nervous. When Ruki and I made it down the stairs, I heard the Night Class talking about the upcoming ball, and who was going with who. It was a ball that Cross Academy had every year so that the Day Class and the Night Class can coexist.

"A ball, huh...sounds very interesting." Ruki stated.

I then heard Ayato and my other brothers quarreling.

"I'm going to go with Chichinashi!" Ayato said.

"No, no. I'm going with Bitch-chan. She is obviously going to choose me." Laito answered.

"I really don't care who she really goes with, but I think that I'm the better option." Shu lazily stated.

"I'll give her the best night she will ever experience." Reiji answered.

"I want to go with Yui..." Kanato said.

"Whatever.. This isn't my problem.." Subaru stated as he looked away.

Then Kou and the other Mukami brothers joined the quarrel as well.

"M Neko-chan is going to pick me!" Kou said.

"She is going to understand me more than any of you." Yuma answered.

"Eve...is...coming...with...me..." Azusa answered.
