Chapter 6: My True Feelings

~Yumi Sakamaki~

It was early afternoon, and slowly opened my eyes.

I think back to what happened the previous night. I thought that Ruki would not forgive me, but it seems like he did. I think that I am not going to class today. I need to let things sink in and straighten my thoughts.

Plus, I need to know who my mother is. If Father told me that the answers are here, then I need to find them. Thinking these things I then laid back in bed and fell asleep...

*a few minutes later*

A knock on the door woke me up from my sleep.

"Whaat?" I said in a tired voice.

The door then opened. I opened one eye, and it was Reiji.

"Are you going to class tonight?"  He said.

"No, I am too tired." I stated as I put the blanket over me.

"I'm surprised, Yumi. You never skip class." He said.

"I just do not want to go today. Can you please leave?" I stated.

"Heh." I heard him say and then heard the door slowly close.

I mean, I really am tired, but I also do not want to deal with Kaname and his attempts to seduce me which don't even work at all.

"Ugh... Can these three months just pass by already?" I said to myself as I went back to sleep.

~Kaname Kuran~

I was looking around for Yumi, since class was to start in about an hour. I hope that she's not sneaking around with Mukami. However, I saw that he was down here in the living room talking to his brothers.

Where is Yumi?

I decided to go back upstairs to Yumi's room to see why she is taking so long. As I went up past the hallway, I see Reiji come in my direction.

"Good evening, Kaname. Congratulations on your engagement." Reiji said as he stopped in front of me.

"Good evening, Reiji. And thank you. I owe it all to you. May I ask why Yumi hasn't come out of her room?" I said.

"She's not feeling it today. She told me she was going to stay in her dorm all day today." He stated..

"All right. Thank you." I then made my way to Yumi's dorm. I had the chocolates that I made in my pocket and a box that has a dress, shoes, and jewelry for her to wear tonight on a date that I have planned for the both of us.

The chocolates may not taste as good, but I hope she eats them either way.

I then knocked on her door, but there was no answer.

"Yumi?"

I then knocked again, but still no answer.

I then quietly opened the door. When I entered her room, I saw that she was still in bed sleeping. I then approached the bed and sat on the chair that was near it.

"Yumi..." I whispered, moving the hair that covered her face to the side. I saw her beautiful sleeping face.

She then began to talk in her sleep.

"Ruki..." I heard her say in her sleep.

It hurt me a lot to hear her say another man's name. Don't worry, I'll soon take over your dreams, Yumi... I said to myself as I caressed her cheek. I looked at the time, and I saw that it was almost time to go to the gate to lead the students out.
