Chapter 4: I Will Not Lose To You

~The next night, Yumi Sakamaki's PoV~
I woke up, and it was the wake of the evening. The sun was setting down, and the sky was colored a beautiful orange. I got up from bed and stretched my arms. As soon as I did, there was a knock on the door.

"Who is it?" I said in a groggily, tired voice.

"It's Kaname." I heard from the other side of the door. I yawned and got out of bed, then opened the door.

"Sorry, do not mind my appearance. Good evening, Kaname. What's up?" I asked.

"I have your Night Class uniform." He smiled, handing me the white school uniform.

"Oh, thanks!" I said happily.

I saw him once again, staring at my golden key necklace.

"I like your necklace, Yumi. Who gave it to you?" He said curiously and I smiled, gently touching it.

"Well, my mother did. She sent it to me as a present on my first birthday. It's my treasure." I said in a distant tone.

 He smiled.

"What kind of person is she?" He asked me curiously.

"I do not know...She left me with my father after I was born. But my father said that she was kind and she cared about me a lot. He did not, however tell me her reasons for leaving." 

Kaname was deep in thought.

"Are you alright, Kaname?" He got out of his thoughts and smiled.

"No, I'm fine. Just thinking about some things. I'll see you in class, Yumi. We are all going to meet in the living room downstairs."  He said in a gentle tone, putting his hand on my head, then leaving the room.

I began to get ready for class.

I decided to get ready, and took a bath. I got in the tub, and relaxed for a bit. As I was enjoying my bath, I begin to hear voices in my head, and a vision from I guess the past came in my mind. I saw Father and all I saw was his evil smile, and I heard these words come out of his mouth.

"I can make you forget all about him.."

W-what is going on? What are these voices I am hearing? I hear Father's voice and he is looking down at someone, but I could not see the person that he was talking to. Her body was a shadow. I have a feeling that it is Mother. But what does he mean when he says, "I can make you forget all about him?"  My head began to hurt. I got out of the bath, dried myself, and got dressed in the Night Class uniform.

 I looked myself in the mirror, studying the uniform.

"Why is the skirt so short?" I said to myself as I looked at myself in the mirror.

"Well, no matter." I went to my vanity and began to blow dry my hair. As I was doing the finishing touches on my hair and putting a red heart pin on my hair, someone was knocking on my door.

"I am coming..." When I opened the door, I saw that Reiji was at the door, in the Night Class uniform.

"Hey, Reiji! You do not look bad in that uniform!" I said with a smile.

"Thanks for the compliment." He stated in his usual tone.

 I looked around to see if I saw Ruki.

"Ruki went to the meeting area already if you are looking for him."

"I am not looking for him!" I said, trying to speak the truth.

"Yes, sure whatever. I'm escorting you to class tonight."
